Absolutely insane, The doctor didn't even tell me what was going on/what was the problem and just made fun of me when I got there

I had a horrible experience with Dr Rajiv Pathak (Dover/ Flanders office ) . He gave me a hard time with a referral to the cardiologist, I have been trying to get in touch with Dr Pathak for 4 days prior to the cardiologist appointment asking to send out the referral for my appointment. I was told by Dr Pathak to make an appointment at the cardiologist and he would send an electronic referral, which I did. I have been calling him for 4 days in a row, I was placed on hold every time for over 30 minutes prior to speaking to him and asking him to send out the referral, till the day of my appointment, the receptionist finally told me 4 hours prior to the appointment that he was on vacation , which was not true. So I had to cancel the appointment, with the cardiologist ,his stuff was rude , they are overwhelmed with patients and should have told me that they don’t want me in their office. Very unprofessional and poor scheduling. Never again!

If I could give zero stars I would. This doctor is one of the most rude, dismissive and disrespectful doctors I have ever dealt with in my entire life. His lack of professionalism was deplorable and very un nerving so much so that I will be filing a formal complaint with the board. His clerical staff is just as nasty and unprofessional and should not be working in any industry that involves customer service.

Dr Pathak has saved me hundreds of dollars on prescriptions and on medical services. He is extremely caring for his patients, explains his diagnosis carefully and with extreme detail to assure the patient clearly understands. He is one of the best General practitioners that I have had in my 60 years that I can remember attending to my health. A negative rating could only mean that the patient was not completely and honestly open with him. I have the utmost respect for Dr Pathak. If you are visiting his office and feel or experienced not being cared for in the order of arrival, I can assure you it was because there were patients that required more immediate attention than you did at that visit. If you find yourself in need of immediate attention, you will receive the services as you witnessed with others.

We went to see him when my blood result showed I had hypothyroidism. Rather than explain the condition, he lectured me on weight loss based on wild assumptions about my eating/exercise habits just by looking at me (I eat only 1500 cal/day & workout 5 days/wk). The highlights: telling me to eat a head of cabbage for a meal, that I should restrict my diet to 600 cal/day (no regard for nutrition groups), and telling my husband to "walk" me 10 miles in a day. Highly unprofessional & misinformed.

New patient walked in at 830am my apt time. The place doesn't open till 9am. Doctor didn't show up till after 9 saw 3 people before me even though I was the first to show up. The doctor changed my medicines that I have been on for 7 years. Didn't get my medical records from my previous doctors. Horrible experience. The place is dirty. The doctor didn't shake my hand. I felt like a number. I asked 3 times for a referral to see a GI doctor and he wouldn't!!!! I will neverrr go back gross!!!

One of the best doctor I ever had , he even visited me in the hospital one time when I had a really bad blood problem . I have ITP and he came up to check up on me , to see how I was being treated. Very caring guy knows husband stuff , yeah the waiting sucks but I find I think worth it.
