Dr. Heaven continues to give me excellent care! He goes over the details of my bloodwork and explains it concisely in “regular people” language, not “doctor speak”. When I leave my appointment with him I have my questions answered. I would definitely recommend him to others in need of his specialty, hematology oncology.

I was diagnosed with stage 2 male breast cancer (which is pretty rare) in 2016. I had a visit with Dr. Heaven after my masectomy. I chose Texas Oncology over the local hospital due to their large network of doctors and patient experience. He did not have a lot of experience with MBC treatment, but got me an appointment with another doctor in Dallas that is also within the Texas Oncology system who did have more experience with my diagnosis. I underwent 6-7 months of chemo in Abilene based on their recommendations and under his supervision, went on the aftercare medication and have had no recurrence in 7 years. I would highly recommend him. He is very direct, but has a good easy going personality and is very sensitive to the patient. The nurses in the Abilene clinic were awesome. The chemo was not fun, but I felt well taken care of while I was in their care.
