Dr Paone and his Staff took excellent care of me. I will definitely recommend him to my family and friends

Dr. Paone is an exceptionally skilled surgeon who saved my life. Literally. I feel extremely lucky to have found him and been able to get an appointment quickly. He explained the procedure well and was attentive before and after the surgery. He also was extremely kind to my wife and had no problem including her in discussions and answering her questions, something not all doctors seem to want to do. While Dr. Paone gets high marks across the board, some members of the staff were unnecessarily abrupt and rude and seemed to have no understanding of what we were dealing with and the distance we have to travel.

my experience with Dr Paone has been good however his administrative staff needs vast improvement - they can be rude and a little difficult to deal with

Dr Paone spent time with my father Wayne and myself explaining the procedure and what to expect. He was reassuring and compassionate. He spent time after my fathers surgery with me and explained the important details of the surgery. I would recommend Dr Paone to all my family and friends and other folks who are in the need of excellent care, skills, and compassion.

I just underwent aortic valve replacement surgery under Dr. Paone. I found him to be highly skilled and he and his staff diligent and hard-working. Previous to the surgery, Dr. Paone listened carefully to my concerns and I know he incorporated my input in the choice of a replacement valve. Before, during and after the procedure I felt I had the Doctor's close attention and care. He checked on me at least twice a day to the very end of my hospitalization. My recovery is going very smoothly.

He maybe considered a great physician but he is not an empathetic or gracious human being.

Dr Paone saved my life. I have a genetic blood disorder which made my surgery extremely complicated. I was scared beyond belief. They re run all blood work and studied me for 2 days then did a quadruple bypass. I was flown into to Lubbock Tx via a jet and I walked out of hospital 5 days later. I feel great. I can breathe, walk without legs hurting at all. I'm going to live thanks to this brilliant man and the tremendous care from Texas Tech hospital nursing staff. Great Doctor !

Talented at his profession, however, extremely non specific and poor at communication. As a patient, I felt that he did not take an interest in explaining the details about my condition and surgery to me. I felt alienated by my own doctor. He was also very rude to the nurses and p.a. who did more work than he did. You can find plenty of surgeons equal to his level of skill and likely any other surgeon above his skill level at caring and communicating with the patient.

This Dr. Saved my husbands life!!! He prepared us for the worst and came out of surgery with the best news possible!! Scars healing amazing ! When I told him personal info of my husbands he used it to beter treat him,not judge him. Great bedside manners. Very humble man. You should be so lucky to have him!
