I had extreme vertigo. Several neurologists reviewed MRIs and CAT scans to no avail. Dr. Chivali came in late, was given the scans and within minutes found the problem, spiral tear in the vertebral brain artery. He is an exceptional interventionist, devising a procedure to install a stent in my brain that allowed the artery lining to mend restoring perfusion, curing the problem. He is compassionate and attentive, carefully explaining the problem, anatomy, and procedures for the stent implant and gives a clear understanding of the hows, whys, and risks involved with this skilled brain surgery performed through a catheter. His aftercare is attentive and thorough, and he is as considerate and caring of his staff & operating room staff, a natural teacher. It is remarkable that a man of such immense skill is so modest and approachable, whereas others less capable are aloof and indifferent. I would trust this man with the most complex diagnosis and neurological treatment. Excellent doctor.

The procedure was successful in getting rid of pulsatile tinnitus I had been experiencing for nearly a year and helping lower my risk of stroke and seizure.
