Absurd wait time, no questions allowed.
Routine colonoscopy. Hawari and team kept me waiting, after prep, for nearly 3 hours. After the procedure he said three words to me, indicating all was good. This despite the written report, which I only saw later, that indicated a condition that I would have definitely wanted to ask questions about. I won't be going back.

Mrs
I usually have to wait a bit, but will take that due to he always listens and so helpful with my problems. Dr Hawari has given me different solutions to try and has explained so much that it eases my emotions. His nurse, Tasha is amazing also. Highly recommended!

Your Time Is not Important
Had an appointment at 10:10am. Checked in and waited in the waiting room a little over an hour and finally was called back to a room. The nurse did vitals and asked a few questions like they always do and said Dr. Hawari will be ready to see you. (This was not a 1st time visit, Dr. Hawari has performed my colonoscopies). Waiting…it was now 12:12 been here 2 hours no Dr. I left and told the receptionist I was leaving after being here 2 hours, and told her my insurance better not be billed. She smiled and waived by. In the parking lot I spoke to a nice man and woman who arrived after I checked in, I said sir did you see the Dr. He said I did. His appointment was at 10:30, waited an hour and saw the Dr. Although Dr. Hawari is a good Dr, this was absolutely absurd. My time is just as important as his. What’s the point of an appointment if 2 hours later I haven’t even layed eyes on him. I will not be back.

Highly recommend
Dr Hawari has my complete trust and faith. I can say that with confidence based on the highly successfully results I have had under his care. To put that into perspective, first let me share my past experience with 3 other GI doctors in other cities: (1) failed Nissen fundiplication surgery to correct a large hiatal hernia, $2k out-of-pocket expenses related to GI doctor referrals to unnecessary specialists (cardiologist, respiratory, et al.) for respiratory issue, only to have them tell me that the issue was related to severe GERD which my GI doctors should have known, and (3) unsuccessful follow-on treatment by medications which no longer continued to work. Dr Hawari recommended no further surgery and prescribed a medication not previously offered to me by any other doctors. This med is just short of miraculous for me. It is very expensive but his nurse initiated a request for help from the manufacturer which was approved. His office is efficient, well run, and staff is helpful.

Dr Hawari is amazing
Dr Hawari literally saved my Mom's life last year. She was under the care of another doctor for months but was wasting and declined so badly that she ended up severely dehydrated and in the emergency room. She was admitted and Dr Hawari was the doctor on call that day. He quickly figured out what was wrong and treated her with the appropriate treatment. She improved almost immediately and has continued to get better. I started having gastro symptoms myself in September and saw Dr Hawari in December. He did a round of tests that came back as normal and also did a colonoscopy. Instead of just giving me something to treat the symptoms and send me on my way, he did some additional tests, one of which found a potential carcinoma. I am so grateful that he was my doctor. I would recommend Dr Hawari 100 percent. He may be a bit quiet but he really listens and takes notes of what you say and tries to get to the bottom of the issues. Thank you Dr Hawari.

Dr. Hawari has an excellent bedside manner, and listens. Each appt. I have had with him - he always pulls up previous CT's or MRI's and goes over what he sees in each image. He takes the time to actually evaluate and assess my concerns about my health issues. I trust him as a doctor for several reasons - but the main reason is - when other doctors procedures failed - Dr. Hawari was able to perform the procedures successfully. I respect that he did not have a diagnosis already determined after reading my chart before he even walked in the room and met me like other doctors have. From a patient standpoint - Dr. Hawari is by far the best gatroenterologist I have seen. I would recommend him to anyone. Especially for liver problems.

I was referred to this dr by my PCP after a long illness which included much nausea and vomiting. He hospitalized me and ran numerous tests which he said were negative. I was in severe pain and scared, but he sent his assistant into my room after a few days of hospitalization and she told me that the dr wanted me to see a Psychiatrist because there was nothing wrong with me physically. I was stunned, but went home only to return by ambulance in serious condition. I had sepsis gallbladder.

If all you want is an endoscope, this is your doctor. If you want someone to physically examine you and discuss your symptoms then I would recommend visiting another doctor. I can appreciate that he received my file from my general doctor, I still expect him to discuss my symptoms and do an exam before scheduling what could be an unnecessary surgery. He spent 2 minutes with me before directing me to scheduling. He didn't ask if I had any questions before exiting the room quickly.

He has treated two family members and we all love him. He saved my daughter's life and was so attentive and concerned for her. Very calm and intelligent. His nurse is very knowledgeable and kind. It is not always easy getting in touch with doctors, but it is worth the effort to see him.

He dropped me as a patient after a colonoscopy. Didn't come and talk to me about the procedure. Then I got a letter telling me to find another doctor, be would no longer be my doctor. No explanation. I tried to find out why by making an appointment since he said I had six weeks before I was officially terminated. He would not see me. I have no idea what happened and still think I'm owed an explanation.
