Horrible
Dr. Ruffy was rude and mean. He didn’t listen; talked over me, and made me feel worse. I left there in tears. I would not recommend him to anyone .

New Level of Non-Care
I've had doctors who ignored my problems or suggested it was all in my head, but this doctor is on another level. I left feeling insignificant and small. He didn't seem to care at all, suggested the problem was about how I wanted to look rather than how I wanted to be able to see, even suggested I must be lying about the extent of the problem, and referred me to a plastic surgeon if I wanted 'cosmetic help.' His comments on the Crystal Run site say 'I strive to be compassionate and sympathetic to all my patients.' Well it's a miss today. I didn't see any 'striving.' It was very clear that he was desperate to get on to the next patient since he was about an hour behind. But his total lack of concern for a problem affecting my eyesight was astounding. I won't be going back for a followup. It's just another health concern I will have to learn to live with. Why become a doctor if you are going to abandon the urge to help and eschew the curiosity to research the problem?

Did not directly inform me on how my eyes were
Although the staff and medical assistant were great, this doctor did not directly tell me how bad my eyes actually were. It seemed like he just wanted me to be in and out and sort of talked over me when trying to tell him my concerns. He told me I only had some thinner than average nerves w/ irritation and i was more likely to develop glaucoma in the future. He prescribed lubricating drops that arent even sold in the us, so I switched to otc ones. I go to my physical months later only to my have pcp tell me his notes were “borderline glaucoma” and “post. vitreous detachment”(which i figured I had but was not informed of it). Im in my early 20s and my eyes are only getting worse and if I knew how bad it was I would’ve advocated for better treatment options. I need my eyes for work and school! I would look for different ophthalmologists tbh.

Went for a screening visit. Was billed incorrectly and overcharged excessively. The assistant did most of the tests and the doctor was in for only a few minutes. Not at all satisfied with visit.

Dr. Ruffy was not very personable and is a terrible listener. He kept interrupting me, talking over me and repeating the same things. He did all that without addressing my problem. He gave vague answers. I left his office very disappointed and will not be going back.
