First GYN visit
As a 19 year old who’s been through a lot of sexual related trauma from a family member growing up I have a lot of problems when it comes to seeing male doctors or males touching me in all that’s not my other half. I had no choice but to see Dr.Hirata who was the only GYN available, but the appointment went well more than expected! His team was amazing, Stacy was a huge help, Doc and Stacy made sure I was very comfortable and he made sure I was okay while doing the exam. He had that humor like any other local unko in Hawaii and he was very straight forward, he gave me options and broke down every option he gave me so I understood. Definitely recommend, they made me feel comfortable and I appreciate how patient they were with me!

Dr. Hirata is a fabulous doctor. He is kind and considerate of feelings. He listens well, and answers questions throughly. His staff is kind, and facilities are clean.

Poor bedside manner. Will not listen to you. Sees you for less than a minute. Uncaring. Poor eye contact. Condescending. Belittles the patient.

Went in for prenatal exam. He was EXTREMELY rough leaving me sore until the next day. Also, very poor in explaining the need of added hormones leaving myself and partner completely confused. Droned on and on about next visits like he was annoyed by repeating what he said day in and day out. Did the ultrasound to check baby, when nothing was visible in the uterus yet, just changed his script up. Zero care or compassion, facial expression never changed. STRAY AWAY
