Amazing provider
My daughter ended up at Children’s after a year of health issues and a new diagnosis of Crohn’s this past November. Dr. Pleskow has gone above and beyond for my daughter. She is very personable and has always made her self available to us. My daughter is in college and when the time comes to transition to an adult provider we will really miss her. Highly recommend Dr. Pleskow!

HORRIBLE DOCTOR & EXPERIENCE
My 6 year old has been complaining about stomach pain since as long as he could. Her cursory “exam” consisted of listening to my son’s chest. She never bothered to check his bloodwork and dismissed my concerns w/o full assessment of him. She suggested that we “redirect” him when he tells us he’s in pain. She told me I need to “buy into” this so my son would believe it too. She suggested we find him a therapist to “give him tools” to help him manage when he “perceives” to be in pain. She said the pain was “functional” and suggested doing things to distract him. When I mentioned that he says he has bad days at school because he’s in pain she said don’t ask him how his day was so he won’t mention he’s in pain. This person has absolutely no business working with children. Terrible bedside manner! She was dismissive, condescending, talked down to me, and got frazzled when I wouldn’t accept her suggestion to “redirect” my son whenever he mentions he’s in pain. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DR!

Would NOT recommend
I saw Dr. Pleskow for over a year and she never was helpful. She would repeat herself every single visit, and would never be prepared/remember what we talked about last visit. I switched and am so much more happy with a new doctor. Dr. Pleskow does not truly listen to what you are saying and if you want answers for why you aren’t feeling well, then go somewhere else. She’s the worst doctor I’ve ever had.

Horrible experience. She did not listen to my teen daughter, or myself, her mother. Without listening, decided my daughter was anorexic and that was why she was loosing weight. Did not listen that she was not trying to lose weight, every time she ate everything was going right through her. I was disgusted. This was approx 2 years ago, obviously went to a new doc and happy to say my daughter has this problem very little now, not losing weight and she is average weight!

Dr Pleskow is just wonderful. She is thorough, caring, and not an alarmist. I took my 5 week old to her for suspected reflux issues and she was so compassionate, listened to our concerns, and came up with a plan to support our baby and his GI issues while also supporting my desire to continue breastfeeding. Getting the care and treatment for our baby was too priority, but also finding an approach that was not just putting him on medication/formula was important to me, and I am so happy to have a great practitioner who also had both my baby’s and my best interests at heart.

Dr Randi Pleskow diagnosed my son with severe Crohn’s disease at the age of 12. She was kind, compassionate and always available to us, even while on vacation. Because of her vigilant care and follow up, my son was able to avoid surgical intervention for 10 years. The surgeon, one of the best, Dr. Brad Linden, was amazed. I am a health care professional, as well as a mother, and can not speak more highly of Dr. Pleskow and her team! She always went above and beyond to assist in my son’s care. We hated to leave BCH and our team. Thanks to all.

i took my daughter to Dr. Pleskow and was very happy with her care. She had been suffering with abdominal pain for months. She quickly found out what the problem was. She called me on the weekend to let me know so that we could start the treatment right away. I am so happy she is feeling better. Thank you Dr. Pleskow

I am shocked she is a pediatric doctor. She acted as if she had never been around a child before. We accomplished nothing during our appointment. It was a waste of our time. We switched to a new doctor after that appointment and got the answers we were seeking. Avoid her at all costs.

My experience was terrible! She was more concerned with gathering information to finish writing her progress note (such as what my husband and I do for work) than really taking the time to examine my daughter and assessing my concerns. Nothing was accomplished at the appointment. She was also super condescending and would cut me off as I was explaining my daughter's symptoms. Complete waste of my time and copayment!

Dr. Pleskow doesn't listen to the parents about the problems, it seems like she doesn't really care about her patients. I wouldn't take my kids to her again.

Dr Pleskow blew us off multiple times regarding my child's frequent vomiting lack of appetite constipation and fevers. She was condescending and wasn't concerned about my daughters medical problems. I finally took her to the hospital after she stated that he symptoms were viral for 5th time in 5 months. Not under recommendation but at my discretion I took her to the Er after one of many not helpful visits. Finally an abdominal X-ray was ordered by ER doc. 3 weeks of fecal matter found in Colon!!

After sharing our concerns with her fellow for 45 minutes, Dr. Pleskow came in after consulting about our daughter for less than 10 minutes. Her recommendations were completely different than the fellow who took the time to get to know us. She never even examined our daughter or consulted with us as parents. When she did meet with us, she was condescending. We went for medical advice and instead she provided parenting advice that was irrelevant to our visit. She made us feel like bad parents!
