Wished I have read these reviews
was referred to Dr haluck by another Penn state dr. When I had my appointment he was rude , ill mannered , short, dismissive and uninterested in trying to help me. He literally got up in the middle of me asking a question and started walking out of the room. Honestly these reviews on here are spot on. I called Hershey to complain and they just brushed it off.

Really really bad
I have learned a very hard lesson by not investigating and reading these reviews beforehand. Dr. Haluck was very rude and short with me. He could not even be bothered to look me in the eyes during our first appointment. I wish I would have went with my gut and not continued to see him, although they made it clear he was my only option other then going back on a waiting list. He is ill informed. He told me “hernias don’t hurt” when I am complaining of extreme pain. He seemed bothered to even be speaking to me. Not only that, it’s 3 months after my surgery and I somehow have a hernia again and need a new surgeon.gave no instructions on how to prevent further damage and absolutely NO AFTERCARE of any kind. Please do not go to this man

Upset and concerned patient – Jul 15, 2023

Terrible attitude. Rude and arrogant.
WOW, where to begin. I have never had an experience with a medical "professional" like I did today. Dr. Haluck was extremely rude to me for no reason at all. Maybe he was having a bad day. Even worse, I waited nearly a month for an appointment, took time off from work to get there, and he didn't have any of my labs. A complete waste of time. I immediately changed doctors.

Doesn't ask questions, quick to draw a conclusion, doesn't let you talk and rushes the appointment. Unless you need surgery I would recommend you go elsewhere. The other 1 star reviews is exactly what I experienced.

Dr. Haluck is the most arrogant, rude doctor we have ever had the displeasure to work with. Our appointment was a waste of time. He provided no plan for the issue. He provided no instruction on what we could do to prevent further damage. He simply announced that he would not help us and walked out. It was awful. He should not be a doctor if he doesn't want to provide care. If I could give zero stars, I would.

Angry Patient – Jan 28, 2022
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Haluck?
I found Dr. Haluck to be very rude and arrogant. My husband went for a consult for a hernia repair. When asked who his Doctor is for following his stroke history I stated he goes to a neurologist. He then belittled me by saying if he had a heart attack he’d go to a cardiologist. I asked you who his stroke doctor is. Obviously he’s not aware that after a stroke a neurologist is generally who’s recommended. I’d give him no stars if that were an option.

Dr. Haluck was excellent, in my opinion. Highly respected by co-workers too. 5 days after gall bladder removal surgery and I almost feel just like normal. I would definitely recommend him!

I felt very rushed and not really "heard". I have not been operated on yet, just a pre-op appointment with Dr. Haluck to discuss my upcoming surgery and sign consents. I felt like he was in a hurry to continue on with his day and didn't give any impression that he was interested in what I had to say or ask. I didn't choose this surgeon, he is who was selected to complete the special surgery I'm having. Had I'd read up more on him I would have spoken up and maybe asked for another surgeon.

I found Dr. Haluck to be very straight forward, understanding and compassionate. He answered all of my questions - even drew a diagram to explain the mechanics of the procedure to be performed. I have complete confidence and respect for his opinion and the treatment he has recommended for me. I am in the excellent hands of a very qualified surgeon. I had an appointment with him 10 years ago and treatment was not appropriate at that time...now is the time for treatment.)

I wouldn't let this man touch me if he were the only surgeon on earth. He is very arrogant and disrespectful. Went for a consult for galbladder surgery and he told me that basedan on the test results if he removed my galbladder he would remove my good organs like my ovaries and uterus too. I couldn't believe he spoke to people this way. Needless to say I will NEVER have a surgery done at Hershey Medical Center due to the way I was treated by this doctor.

I would not recommend this man to repair a cracked rock let alone an actual person. He is very arrogant, does not listen to patients and makes completely wrong diagnoses even with all of the facts in front of him. I ended up going to another surgeon who did the correct procedure.
