Dr. Raquel Herrero-Perez, MD

I have so many good things to say about Dr. Herrero. It is hard to find a good psychiatrist, so I liked her so much that both me and my daughter are treated by her. The most important thing is that she cares, so she try to understand well what is happening to you, so she can best treat you. She is patient, kind and even considerate about the cost of your meds if you cannot afford them. She also remembers what she talked to you before, so there is a continuation of treatment, unlike other doctors who see so many patients that they treat you every time like they are seeing you for the first time, they forget what they told you before, or what you told them. She is also knowledgeable and doesn't mind that you share with her whatever you have researched on your own, and explain why that could work or not. Some doctors are too arrogant to discuss any other options. I have to say it has been hard sometimes getting an appointment with her, but I don't mind, to me she is invaluable.

I've had a few psychiatrists over the years. Dr. Herrero has been the best one I've seen. I've been with her for the past few years. She really listens to what I say and she remembers to ask about those things in future visits. Dr. Herrero has worked with me to get my medications correct and balanced. She has a collaborative approach and is always respectful towards me. That means a lot. I'm never treated as a "crazy" person- and if you've visited psychs before, you've probably experienced that. Highly recommend her. She recently left the practice I go to and I'll miss her care very much.

First appointment was 45 minutes late. Walked out.

Dr. Herrero is my favorite psychiatrist I have ever had. She seems to actually care and listen. Have recommended her to many friends!

Does not do what she says she will do, and doesn't return calls. My child has ran out of his prescription and I am ignored until I go to office. Not worth the headaches.

I have been a patient of hers now for the past 9 months. She is very kind and patient and wanting to to make sure she does everything she can to help you lead a better life. I highly recommend.

I will admit: the Boca office staff leaves much to be desired, but Dr. Herrero is the best psychiatrist I have ever seen (and there have been quite a few). She's very compassionate, kind, and understanding. She listens well and she's down to earth. She never attempts to over-medicate me, which I appreciate immensely. I look forward to seeing her, she's honestly that lovely. Very grateful to work with her and would highly recommend to anyone seeking an excellent psychiatrist.

Dr. Herrero saw my teenaged son; she was very pleasant and helpful, listening to him without apparent judgment. I trust her clinical expertise.

I am grateful that I was able to find a pyschatrist like Dr. Herrero! I feel I am able to share with her what I am struggling with and not feel judged and she actually takes the time to really listen to me and so I am heard. Therefore, she is able to help me and my current needs. I would recommend her to family and friends.
