Thorough, Caring, Exceptional Surgeon
Dr. Bosio helped my mom when we were close to giving up. After years of surgeries, diverticulitis, ileostomy, reversal, and complications including a colovaginal fistula, she was finally referred to him. I wish we would have found him sooner. He was thorough, ordered the right tests, clearly explained options, and prioritized her quality of life. She was hesitant about a colostomy, but post-surgery felt better, even during recovery, and now wishes she had done it sooner. He performed a complex 6-hour laparoscopic surgery, choosing the less invasive route for her comfort and faster healing. Despite being the most difficult surgery she has had, her recovery was the smoothest. That speaks to his exceptional skill and care. Dr. Bosio is not only a gifted surgeon but also a kind, compassionate doctor who truly listens. We are deeply grateful to him and his team.

Appendectomy and Colectomy Surgery
Dr. Bosio was exactly what you want when having to deal with any colon rectal surgery. In my case, after dealing with a surgeon who failed to properly treat my chronic appendicitis, Dr. Bosio corrected the infection and performed surgery while minimizing incisions. He was professional, straightforward and excellent in all respects.

I can't say enough good things about him and his Team! I had an emergency bowel surgery and colonscopy (bag) in a hospital at upper Lower Michigan by a different hospital & doctor. Also when got there, the hospital that morning was randomware hacked and all phones, computers, printers, etc. were down. I was there for 6 days. Since I live just north of Michigan - Ohio border, 4 months later, I had to find a surgeron doctor to do reconnection of bowel and remove bag in Toldeo Promedica area. Dr. Basio was very highly recommend by my family doctors and other doctors. Since after discharge, I had no paper work, tests or CT & MRI scans available, their Team took me and assisted in getting what we could from other hospital for months Doctors and Team memeber saw me multiple times daily during 4 days. They were awesome help, advise, counseling, personabble, pashionate, caring, humorous, and coaching. The Team was always cheerful, happy, worked well together with hospital staff, prompt, etc.

A Professional Friend
After my first colonoscopy (age 51), I was informed I had cancer. When talking with Dr. Bosio I asked if it'd been different had I come in at age 50, to which he replied 'not really'. I then asked if I came in at age 45, he told me it would've been a polyp and taken care of with the colonoscopy. Dr. Bosio's direct with his answers, but not in a mean way. When talking to him he'll make you feel more like a friend as opposed to a patient. Every time we met he came in with a smile and a hand shake offered, I never felt forgotten by him. My wife was with me at my appointments, and he addressed any questions or concerns she had with the same energy given to me. Communication was never an issue, I was always informed on what to expect and what's expected from me. Not one question went unanswered, and answered in a professional, friendly manner. I found myself looking forward to our meetings because I always felt better after talking to him.

Amazing Doctor and staff
I had a colonoscopy in February and they found a large flat polyp in my colon that could not be removed. It was precancerous and had to be removed. Which meant I would have to have part of my colon removed. I was sent to see Dr Bosio. He explained everything about the procedure, what to expect after surgery, risks, and complications. He and his staff are great. They go above and beyond in your care. I have been truly blessed that everything went smoothly with my surgery and recovery. I am thankful for the preventive colonoscopy that found the polyp , and I was able to get it taken care of before it worse. Dr Bosio you are the best, and I am thankful I have you as my doctor.

Amazing doctor and surgeon!
I was diagnosed with colon cancer in February (2024), and was referred to Dr. Bosio. I was extremely stressed and nervous about my prognosis. After my first meeting with him, I left his office feeling MUCH better. He spent a lot of time answering questions and explaining treatment. He assured me I was going to be fine. A few weeks later I had surgery to remove part of my colon and lymph nodes. Surgery was quick, and I’ve had a very easy recovery thanks to his skill and experience. I’m happy to report I’m cancer free, and my life is returning to normal thanks to early detection and quick treatment that went well above and beyond “average.” My first follow up just confirmed what a great and caring doctor he is! I’m now entrusting my long term care to only Dr. Bosio and his team!

Dr Bosio is the best of the best. Had a Colon abscess from Diverticulosis with a Diverticulitis flare up Nov 2023. Ended up with a foot of my sigmoud and 1 inch upper rectum removed. Also many adhesions removed, peritoneal lovage, left ureterolysis, decided to remove appendix-and NO Colostomy. Any other Dr I would have likely had a Colostomy. Very grateful for his and Dr Walter OB Gyn surgeon expertise, caring and excellent bedside manner. Coming from an RN since 1991. Highly recommend both Drs.

Excellent care!
I was diagnosed with colon cancer and referred to Dr. Bosio for treatment. I never expected to have such a great experience with cancer. He did such a great job of explaining everything so that I was comfortable with every step of the process. He is continuing with my follow up care and I could be happier with the entire process.

Amazing Doctor and Team
In September 2023, I faced a diagnosis of Colon cancer, but Dr. Bosio and his team provided exceptional care that transformed my journey. During my initial visit, Dr. Bosio thoroughly reviewed my colonoscopy and CT scans, presenting comprehensive plans A, B, C, and D. In a reassuring meeting, he explained each step, alleviating fears and instilling confidence and HOPE. With partial blockage, Dr. Bosio promptly scheduled surgery for the next Saturday. The flawlessly executed procedure resulted in the successful removal of the cancer. The outstanding teamwork of Dr. Bosio's nurses and residents highlighted the patient-centric approach, emphasizing genuine care for individuals and their families.Beyond the surgical triumph, Dr. Bosio continues to support me over the next five years, guiding me through every phase of treatment. Without Dr. Bosio's remarkable skills, I wouldn't be here today. If you face a similar situation and seek the best outcome, I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Bosio.

EXCELLENT SURGEON
Dr. Bosio -referral I had from another doctor when a mass was found in my colon. It was a scary time as he thought it could be cancerous. When I called Dr. Bosio's office, they were so kind to work with & I was able to get an appt pretty quick. Afraid to go to the appointment fearing a cancerous mass in my colon, I was greeted politely & with a smile. That said they care. Any of the staff I have worked with especially Rosemary have be so caring and kind. They make you feel like everything will be okay. Then I met Dr. Bosio who greeted me warmly & with a smile that said he wanted to help me. He drew a diagram of what things would look like and what he would do to remove the mass so it could be tested for cancer. Depending on what he found he would have to then & he took the time to explain all of it. He asked me throughout if I understood & asked if I had questions. Post surgery he saw me in the hospital & follow up appts I've been able get answers to my ?s. Highly recommend Dr Bosio!

Patient of Dr.Bosio
Dr. Bosio performed surgery for damage caused by Crohn’s disease. When I met with him before the surgery he explained everything in detail, even drawing pictures of the damaged area and how the surgery would repair that area. He made sure all of my questions and concerns were answered in a very approachable manner. After the surgery he and his staff were available to respond to any concerns I had. I would highly recommend him.

Exceptional surgeon, physician, and person
I was referred to Dr. Bosio after my diagnosis with colon cancer in 2021 at the age of 53. He and his team prioritized my need for urgent surgical treatment within two weeks of diagnosis. He literally saved my life. He and his team have followed me closely and consistently ever since, treating me competently and with the care they would provide a loved one. This difficult journey has been more bearable due to Dr. Bosio's excellent and genuine care. His team and staff admire, respect, and appreciate him so much, and they told me they would send their own family to Dr. Bosio without any hesitation. I know I'm receiving the best possible care, and I cannot recommend him highly enough.

I was referred to Dr. Bosio from another surgeon Due to his expertise in laparoscopic surgery. That in itself should tell you he is amazing at what he does. Dr. Bosio made time to squeeze me in (and I wasn’t even his patient at the time). He was very informative and explained every option in terms anyone could understand. He ultimately performed a successful surgery and I am returning to prior function. If you or your family are ever in a position to require surgery, Dr Bosio is your guy!
