This provider was the on call physician at Trios Health when my sister-in-law was in labor. Dr. Samra withheld an epidural from the patient for 3.5 hours for no medical reason. The first time he stepped in the room he stated "I don't like VBACs so I don't want to do this, if you think you're going to get me to do this then you're going to listen to everything I want to do" which takes away any autonomy she had as a patient. She has also had two successful VBACs in between her previous c-section and this birth, both successful with no complication. He came in before she was fully effaced and dilated and told her she would have thirty minutes to become fully effaced and dilated and then would have thirty minutes only to push as he had to leave and go see clinic patients, putting a time limit on her body to do the natural process of labor. He was confronted on this and had no explanation as to why he was treating a patent with such a lack of empathy and autonomy. He was told the way he was talking to the patient was unacceptable. He left without any apologies to the patient. I would steer so far clear from this provider if you have any hope of having a pleasant birth where you have a say in your care. ZERO stars.

BIRTH
I was really sick when I was pregnant during covid so I was not a good advocate for myself. The Dr wanted to induce me A WEEK BEFORE I WAS DUE, thank God I said that sounds weird because he hadn't even written my prior authorization so insurance wouldn't have covered my birth. They ended up inducing me after my due date. I find out later they induced JUST FOR HIS SCHEDULE!!!! I thought it was medically necessary??! Also as I was giving birth he was texting someone on his phone right by my vagina. My husband was appalled. He then proceeded to give me some kind of pain pill afterwards that said 'do not take when nursing'???!! . Also he can hardly talk. Just another Dr in the horrible medical system who doesn't do any up to date research.

One of the worst experiences of my life. After testing high for an enzyme that indicates cancer (or other things) he refused to even talk to me. He had his assistant call me and tell me I was referred to a specialist in spokane. She finally revealed this enzyme could mean I have cancer. Am I alone in thinking this kind of news should be shared in person by a caring human being? Dont look for that here. I'll NEVER see him again. Ended up going to kadlec, they were wonderful and I dont have cancer

I saw Dr. Samra for my treatment of endometriosis. I am in my early 20's & during our first visit he did an exam and stated "You don't want kids, do you?" He later recommended a laparoscopic surgery and afterwards I found out he had trimmed the nerves to my uterus which we never discussed beforehand. He also tried to push a menopause inducing medication. I got a second opinion and she was shocked as nervectomy and lupron are extreme measures that are not considered the first line of treatment.

Went in after a recent miscarriage (#6 for me). Kept referring to it as an abortion, insisted that the baby hadn't, "died" because at that stage of development (5.5 weeks) it was, "basically just a blood clot" anyway. I said I felt differently and had retained the (clearly identifiable) remains of the embryo until I decided the most respectful course of action. His opinion was it should have been flushed right away, and that it wasn't too late to just flush it now. No empathy, tact, or respect.
