Professional and gracious
I was able to get through two knee replacements knowing that I had the best team. I never thought that my knees could be this good. I have a whole new lease on life thanks to Dr. Kim.

Perused current reviews
A physician in this caliber should not have this many negative 1 star reviews. Sure, there are more 5 stars, however I’m not about to place my trust in any clinic that cannot be more so highly recommended. I went to Colorado Joint Replacement located at Porter Hospital. Absolutely the best in scheduling and caring doctors along with their staff. Steadmans performed ortheoscopic surgery on my knee. Post surgery I never experienced so much pain. They blew me off. My recommendation as per above See Dr. Charlie Yang,

Dr. Kim did a Total Knee Replacement on both knees nearly a year ago, and I was grateful and blessed to have him as my surgeon. I was treated very well by Dr. Kim and his staff before surgery and after. My pre op visit was completely thorough and every question was answered. Their post op follow care was amazing as well all concerns I had were addressed immediately. I have a new life since surgery. The respect I have for Dr. Kim and his staff is immeasurable. I definitely recommend Dr. Kim every chance I get.

Terrible! I met briefly with him at Steadman’s in Vail but couldn’t get there to have surgery. Then I had an appointment scheduled at Aspen Valley Hospital. I talked with the insurance person at the Vail office to tell them my insurance (Medicare) and find out the cost. I was told in an unprofessional tone to find another doctor. I guess Dr Kim only accepts wealthy people with private insurance. I’ve gone 19 years without double knee replacement after a PA at Porter Adventist Hospital (and not the doctor who never came in to see me) that I needed knee joint replacement surgery immediately. By not being able to get that knee replacement surgery, I now have destroyed one of my ankles and a shoulder that those medical specialists have told me I need surgery immediately. I guess, in the US, medical help is only for the wealthy.

I had my first knee replaced in Oct. 2019 and the other one year later. After both operations I was skiing in 3 months. The last surgery had the extended anesthetic bag attached and was almost without pain. Dr. Kim and his entire staff couldn't have been more helpful and caring. Dr. Kim is the only surgeon I spoke with encouraging me to get back on the mountain. Well worth the trip from WI and the two weeks recuperating in Vail. Couldn't be happier.

Dr. Kim performed a hip replacement surgery on me in November of 2018. After two weeks I started experiencing problems and pain. I had a terrible time trying to get someone to talk to me over the phone. I kept getting the run-a-round. Nobody would return my calls or emails. When they finally contacted me...and when I told them something felt loose in my hip, and I was experiencing excruciating pain, they pretty much blew me off and didn't believe me. I finally got in to see them February/March of 2019. They asked me what took me so long to come in. Really?! They decided to do a hip revision in May of 2019 because they thought that the stem was loose. After the revision Dr. Kim told me the stem was tight and they couldn't get it out. So they gave me a bigger ball and sent me home. Long story short...I had to have another surgery in April of 2020...by another surgeon...to get my hip fixed. I spent $6k in 2018 and $6k in 2019 for nothing. And Kim could care less. No room to say more...

Dr. Kim & his team offer unmatched excellence in total knee replacement surgery. I have had phenomenal results and credit his exceptional skill and use of highly-advanced techniques. His team at Steadman Clinic is also key to my success as a patient ... all interactions have been prompt, professional, personal and authentic. Worth traveling to Vail ... just amazing!

I'm almost 6 weeks out from total knee replacement. Dr. Kim's staff is amazing from his nurse to PAs. I had a reaction to the adhesive dressing and his nurse called told me what to do the same day I called. His PA was on top of it when I started having muscle spasms and got an rx for a muscle relaxer. I am doing great at 6 weeks range of motion is coming back with work and pain is minimal. Starting to walk without a cane or walker. Dr kim for the initial visit did not have the best bed side manner. He comes off cold and a little uncaring (hard day) but he answered my questions and I felt confident that he was the best surgeon for me. I knew he was the right surgeon when on day of surgery and I had a few more questions and he was totally different in his bed side manner. I would recommend him to anyone that is needing knee replacement.

I've made a few smart decisions in my life, but having Dr Kim replace my right hip might have been the best ever!! What an incredible surgery team and the workmanship on my hip far surpasses the one I had done on a previous (left) hip. If I could rate Dr Kim higher than a 5, I would!!!!

Dr. Kim is incredible! I am so happy with my new hip. The recovery time was excellent. And... I walked out of the hospital on crutches day of surgery. Thanks so much to Dr. Kim and the amazing staff at The Steadman Clinic for getting me back to my extremely active life with no pain!

I traveled from Utah to Vail to have my hip replaced by Dr. Kim. What I liked about my expierence was the thoroughness in their preparation and the professionalism of Dr. Kim and his entire team. He didn’t try and talk me into having surgery and I liked that. His analysis and explanation of my condition squared with my experiences and expectation. Only then did we decide to proceed. He followed up with my wife immediately following surgery with detailed analysis of what he saw (more arthritis that expected) and what I could expect during my healing process.. I’d recommend Dr. Kim in a heartbeat, with no reservations.

Dr. Kim and his entire staff are simply outstanding! They take as much time as needed to ensure full understanding of each options....surgery, non-surgical / PT, injections...and implications for each. Dr. Kim's PAs are wonderful and his RN, Cristal, is always very responsive to any question. I needed to have my leg straightened and they did an excellent job of doing that in addition to giving me a new knee. Just amazing to be able to walk straight again!

Dr. Kim is incredible. I had my TKR surgery 3 weeks ago and I'm doing great! I'm able to walk normally without a cane or crutches. All my co-workers think that it's amazing that I'm up and about. I didn't have any bruising and that's unheard of for a 62 year old fair skinned Norwegian like me. He and his team are efficient, kind, professional, and amazing. It's the best surgical experience I've ever had. I highly recommend Dr. Kim to anyone who's considering a TKR.

I could not in good conscience recommend a Dr who is all about the money. Dr. Kim performed a Hip revision on me and I ended up in worst shape then when I started. His explanation to me was short and sweet. He said "some people just don't get better, you're as good as you're going to get" I wouldn't recommend him to anybody.

Dr. Kim is a brilliant surgeon. My problem with him was the cold and uncaring manner in which he told me about a disease that will ruin my life and that the prognosis was poor for me. He might have been having a bad day but his lack of care and kindness when delivering such grim news was devastating. A brilliant surgeon with no empathy. No thanks.
