Dr. Poliakin is simply the best!

Dr. Poliakin is very good at doing the procedure part of an OBs job, whenever I go to see him he talks to me like I don't know my own body and acts like he knows more than me. I had an ovarian cyst start bleeding in early February and I was in severe pain. When I told Dr. Poliakin about how painful it was he compared me to one of his nurses and basically dismissed my pain stating "a cyst of your size wouldn't be causing that amount of pain". When I told my physician about this, she called Dr Poliakin an idiot. Do NOT go see him unless you want him to talk to you like you are an idiot.

My wife was referred to Dr. Poliakin by a few friends who gave glowing reviews about him and the prenatal care they received. I've since learned that obstetrics and gynocology should be two separate practices and Dr. Poliakin should stick to Obstetrics, if he should practice at all. My wife was seeing him REGULARLY for gynecological check ups. My wife was experiencing pelvic pain that continued to get worse, she saw him for a routine exam and he found nothing, and referred her to a gastroenterologist who found nothing and sent her back to Poliakin who once again found nothing and sent her to another specialist who said she needed to go back to Poliakin. This was all over the course of more than 10 months when she finally went back to him for the third time. She was now bleeding and in constant pain and told him to take more time and do a thorough exam. When he did, he found cancer. Further diagnostics showed it to be STAGE 4B Uterine cancer that he missed! She died July 15, 2021.

Dr. Poliakin delivered my first son and I had an exceptional experience with him. I came in for an emergency C-section and Dr. Poliakin was calm and kind and helped ease my nerves. He delivered my baby safely and was wonderful throughout the entire procedure. He is extremely professional and thoughtful. I highly recommend him.

I am one of this people that will "Wait because I love him". It is not that he is being disrespectful, it is that he will drop everything to help a pregnant mother with an emergency or a patient in crisis. Often times, this ends up with a bit of a back log. He was present for my two pregnancies (emotionally & physically), saved my sister's life with amazing first rate referrals, and has been caring for me for over 30 years. Yes, I will wait for him & that being said, I rarely wait for anyone!

If you want to wait 45 min. - 1 hour, and then be placed in a room where you continue to wait, then this is your place. "Our patients don't mind because they love him" is what I was told. Each year, for my annual appt., I wait and wait and wait. It is disrespectful of a person's time and poor business etiquette.

Dr. Poliakin has been my OB since 2007. He successfully delivered my son. He has a great manner. Caring, compassionate and he has a great sense of humor. If he runs late, it's because he is delivering someone else's baby next door. I have found him to be all about business when I'm wearing a paper nightie, which I appreciate.

Dr. Poliakin has been my OBGYN for my entire adult life. He saved my life when other doctors would have missed the problem. Actually one did. His office staff has always been amazing. He has always listened and truly cared, sometimes having to tell me things I really didn't want to hear but needed to. He is the best there is, no one cares about their patients more or takes better care of them.
