Not the best
This doctor is extremely dismissive. There has been multiple times where he has dismissed different issues or didn’t fully follow up after results. I would not recommend this allergist in getting long lasting treatment.

Dr. Pongonis was so understanding about our concern for our son's peanut allergy. He was clear and comprehensive in his explanation of OIT. It has been a success, and we are forever grateful for his intelligence and his service to kids with allergies.

My 9-year-old son has been seeing Dr. Pongonis for his food allergies for the past 3 years. Dr. Pongonis is very knowledgeable about food allergies and explained that blood work and skin testing may not always be the best indicators of whether someone can tolerate their allergens. I was very impressed that every time my son has had blood work checking his allergy levels that Dr. Pongonis called me at home personally to explain the results, not having a nurse do it.

Dr Pongonis took his time to listen to the very involved family history that we have, given that we have some rare disorders in our family (CRPS, MCAD, EDS, POTS/Dysautonomia). He was attentive and thorough and made me feel listened to. He gave me some recommendations and I will return to him in two months for follow-up. Our 10 yr old daughter also had an appointment on this day.
