Disrespectful bedside manner
I have been type 1 diabetic for 35 years so I do have a little knowledge about my condition. I was spoken to by Dr Pace in the most disrespectful way at my appointment. I have seen a number of doctors over the years and have never witnessed anything like the way she treated me. As I was leaving another patient in the waiting room saw me crying and stated she had a similar experience with her and would not be back as well. I just wanted to forewarn anyone considering her as your endocrinologist. I wish I had known!

I have tried to make it work with Dr Pace for years for the simple reason that her NP Donna Hodges is so great, but I can’t do it anymore. I leave her office in tears literally every visit with her. She is rude and unsympathetic to anything the patient has to say. The visit was rushed and I when I voiced concerns about my health I was told she could make me an appointment to see a general practitioner downstairs. The level of care is terrible and I just wanted to save anyone else the trouble. Again I hate to lose Donna but even once a year is too much to pay to be spoken to in such a condescending way.

Best Endocrinologist
I have seen several endocrinologists over the years for my thyroid condition and diabetes. Dr. Pace is patient, kind, and listens to all of my concerns. She is knowledgeable and up to date on the most recent treatments. You can't find a better doctor.

I have been seeing Dr. Pace for over 5 years for my thyroid cancer. I first saw her in 2015 at UMC and followed her when she moved to Baptist. She is very attentive, patient, knowledgeable and always on time. She answers all of my questions during and in between visits. I have never met a more caring and compassionate physician. Her and Heather are amazing. I am so thankful for her.

Dr. Pace is amazing. She is thorough, reviews all your old and new symptoms, performs extra tests on your blood to rule out things that may cause issues. I have hypothyroidism as well as a pituitary tumor. When I was concerned about other issues, Dr. Pace ran a full panel to verify other issues. Her clinic also had a patient portal that you can email her directly with any questions and they always get back to you. I am very blessed that my GP referred me to her.

This is an addendum to my recent comment. After much consideration, I canceled my appointment with Rebecca Pace on August 15. Two days later, I received a certified letter, saying that she was discharging me, as of August 8. You can do the math on this. I am thankful to no longer be under her care, but I just want others to be aware.

I had to wait in the exam room for over an hour before seeing her. When she finally came in I was trying to explain to her that I felt my bp meds were causing my bs to be high she just brushed it off as to say I didn't know what I was talking about and the explanation of using the insulin administers from my previous visit awas a little unclear and she kind of caught an attitude behind it while explaining it again to me.

I have had hypothyroid symptoms.for 5 years. I went in and was tested. All that was ran was a TSH and T4 even though I asked for a full thyroid panel. She ignored the fact I was feeling bad at my next app. with the same symptoms and getting worse. She didn't help me at all despite having a positive ANA test, still losing hair, unable to lose weight and feeling tired. Never again.

Dr. Pace was absolutely wonderful! She explained my condition to myself and spouse very thoroughly and answered all questions we had. Dr. Pace did not rush us through our appointment to jump to the next person and really made me feel like she heard everything I said. I loved her!

As a new patient, Dr. Pace put me on a regimen of medicines and told me that she would have my diabetes under control in 3 months. Fast forward 3 months and she was right! My A1C was a 6.2 and I had lost 13 lbs.! I read a previous post that mentioned something about new doctor's mentality and practice of in/out and not taking time with patients. I did not find this at all with Dr. Pace.

Staff inefficient. Transcribed my medical notes completely wrong. In my opinion this is the new age of physicians-- quick in and out-- doesn't listen to patient-- "one treatment fits all" mentality.
