Dr. Reetta Marciano, MD

Dr Marciano did an inpatient psychiatric evaluation (as a consult) for a family member. She spent 30 minutes which in itself is wholely inadequate. She documented having spent 10 minutes collecting collateral information for the intake but did not speak to a single family member present, the patients current psychiatrist or psychologist. Her intake evaluation was FULL of misinformation given to her by the patient that she never bothered to verify - including things that would have been easy to verify - like whether the patient had been hosptialized previously for mental illness or whether the patient had been in treatment for alcohol. This is maybe the worst evaluation of a patient I have ever witnessed. And she used this inaccurate information to determine that a patient was 'decisional' and he promptly checked out AMA and is now drinking himself to death. DO NOT go to this woman if you want someone evaluating you or your family member who cares about the quality of their work AT ALL.

Did not acknowledge side effects due to medication she had given me. Failed to disclose side effects to me before giving medication.
