If I could give negative stars I would, but this does not allow me. Not only is Dr Iftikhar unpleasant, but he does not listen to or care for his patients. My mother was his patient for years (thankfully we have found a new doctor) we recently went in because she had severe chest and abdominal pain. We asked for an endoscopy to see what was wrong since the last one done had already been 7 months ago. He refused and he just upped the medication she was already on. Clearly that did not work my mom ended up in the hospital from the pain. It's been almost 3 weeks that we have been calling to see if we can schedule an endoscopy nobody has called us back. My mom now has severe acid reflux damage to her stomach due to this office and doctor being incompetent. She has also been diagnosed with Barrett's esophagus.

Dr. Iftikhar disrespectful to patients
I had to call and ask for my prep instructions and did not receive them until the day before, so was late getting started with the prep procedure. Dr. Iftikhar was over an hour late arriving at the hospital keeping me and many other patients waiting. Members of the staff in the surgical ward told me he is always late, and that the hospital won’t really address the problem. To just show up when he wants and make the patients wait is incredibly disrespectful, unprofessional, rude and inconsiderate, to say nothing of the frustration or loss of income or vacation hours, extra childcare expenses etc. I would never have a procedure by Dr. Iftikhar again. I respected him by being on time for my appointment but clearly he doesn't respect his patient's time. Respect for other individuals is such a basic concept that most people learn in kindergarten. Somehow he missed that. I was told the other gastro doc at NW Medical Center is worse! Go somewhere else or take lots of magazines!

My appointment was rescheduled four days before I was supposed to go in because Dr. Iftikhar went on vacation. The original referral was in October, and now I won't be able to get in until January 31st. I'm not sure if it's poor planning on the doctor's part or if his office staff doesn't now how to keep a schedule, but in my opinion it's unbelievably poor practice to make people wait 4 months to get into a doctor.

He has performed my colonoscopyseveral years ago. I came in with a minor concern, which we discussed.Given that my medical profession works closely with his type of surgeries,I was confident that his advice was accurate. He is pleasent,a very good listener, doesn't rush you during your appointment, and I recommend him fully. His staff is friendly, and respectful.

The visit with Dr. Iftikhar went well. The staff were friendly, quick & efficient. However, Leticia, the Procedure Scheduler, has not responded to my 4 messages (2 marked urgent) to reschedule my colonoscopy. Next step is her supervisor. I'm about ready to find another gastroenterologist.

Very difficult to deal with the office on schedulilng. Absolutely no pre-procedure information provided on preping for the colonoscopy. Two scruffy males showed up in the procedure room who turned out to be the doctor and an assistant. Scary. No medical doctor consultation post procedure, just someone to read the printed results. The medical profession has really fallen to all time lows.

Everything went well. The procedure was quick and painless. The only complaint I have is that the hospital staff put the blood pressure monitor on too tight and I couldn’t feel my fingers. I told them about it but they didn’t adjust it.

I like Dr. Iftikhar well. Five stars... He is experienced, considerate, and attentive. Some of his staff, on the other hand, are another matter all together. Minus 5 stars... It took 2.5 months to secure an appointment date because repeated calls were not returned, requiring the dispatch of two registered letters accompanied finally by a threat to report tampering with the U.S. mail to the local Postmaster. At this moment, I am trying to secure a refill of my prescription. The pharmacy has sent two requests, both unanswered. I will have to drive to the office and demand script, or I will be very sick by the beginning of next week. If you can get past the negligent and indifferent staff you may like and trust Dr. Iftikhar. The alternative would seem to be to go elsewhere, but in my recent experience staff work elsewhere is little better. Maybe move to Canada...

Absolutely terrible. The incompetent office staff is the worst I have ever dealt with. They scheduled a procedure for me but did not give me an arrival time. My wife and I called repeatedly for several days and begged for someone to return our calls to answer this simple question. We received no response whatsoever. At this point, I lost all confidence in this practice and sent a letter via certified mail to cancel my appointment. I will seek treatment elsewhere.
