Dr. Renee Moenning, MD

I had a disappointing experience with Dr. Moenning at IU Hospital. Her approach during my visits felt dismissive and severely lacked the attention and focus needed, leaving me disappointed with the level of care received. She seemed unwilling to provide any meaningful insights into my health concerns - resulting in prolonged pain, suffering, delays, and frustration. IU Hospital used to uphold higher standards for medical professionals in their employ, but lately, there's been a noticeable decline. This decline has led to experiences like mine, where the quality of care and professionalism has been extremely disappointing. Overall, my experience with Dr. Moenning at IU Hospital was very unsatisfactory, and I do not recommend her services.

She is extremely thorough and always willing to run test and send referrals. When it comes to autoimmune you have to be proactive and she’s great about that. Highly recommend. Her bedside manner is a bit strange (not bad, just odd) but she’s good at her job which is what really matters.

Dr. Moenning has been very unresponsive for the emergent treatment for my daughter's unique condition. Eventhough my daughter's cardiologist, and neurologist have both tried contacting her regarding the emergent nature of treatment, still no treatment plan or medication has been started. I find her nonconcerning attitude very alarming for a physician. I will not be recommending this physician for care for anyone.

I have never been more frustrated about a physician. Dr. Moenning made me feel like I was wasting her time. Multiple physicians recommended I see a rheumatologist but every thing I told her she would defer me to talk with other physicians not her. I could tell she was only partially listening to what i was saying. She had me go for xrays and bloodwork. I had to contact multiple times for results. I would ask questions about the testing and she would only answer some things not everything. I had to send multiple messages to get answers which finally gave up on getting answers because she wasn't answering what i was asking. I finally got a review of my testing from my primary care physician who didn't order the tests but was willing to give me answers.
