I highly recommend Dr. Banifatemi. He takes time to speak with me, to explain my condition, and to make sure I have no further questions. Very down-to-earth and compassionate.

UNPROFESSIONAL AND ARROGANT (AVOID THIS PRACTICE) I arrived at Great Lakes Cardiology at 9:02am for a 9:00am appointment. There were 5 patients ahead of me at reception and only 1 receptionist. I was checked-in at 9:18 and asked to sit in the waiting area. At 9:40 a staff member came and informed me that Dr. Banifatemi would not see me because I was late. I very politely explained that I was on-time (within 2 minutes) and she said that the Dr. could not see me until he saw all his other patients. I asked how long that would be and the staff member told me she could not tell me. I also explained that I was leaving town for 6 weeks tomorrow and she simply shrugged it off and said that I could wait around to see if the doctor had a free moment. Really? Wait around? This is stunning arrogance. This speaks volumes about the Dr. Banifatemi's values and office culture. There are other doctors who respect their patients, this one clearly does not.

Extremely caring and considerate to the patients needs. Spends plenty of time discussing options you may have for your treatment. Overall one of the very best doctors I have had in my lifetime---and I've had plenty.
