Dr. Ricardo Lim, MD

HORRIBLE experience with Dr. Lim. My previous PCP retired and so I was assigned Dr. Lim. Unfortunately, I began having some symptoms in Aprl 2020 and since then he has been rather dismissive and unresponsive of health care concerns. Dr. Lim has repeatedly brushed everything aside not listening and in the visit summary and notes, missing complaints/symptoms I've brought up. When I requested to see a second neurologist, he said I could call them myself. I called and they said he has to refer me. When I asked to maybe be referred to a Rheumatologist, he said no. I KNOW there is something serious going on with me and he has been NO HELP. Dr. Lim prescribed me some medication for my enlarged prostate which almost caused me to faint (my wife thought I was having a stroke and called 911), so I messaged Dr. Lim , he just said keep taking it for a week. I've since switched PCP and hope to get someone who actually cares about his patients.

I met Dr Lim for the first time today. He is very structured in his treatment time and made it very clear he was not open for discussion on my concerns. He stated that I was there for a "check up" and did not realize I had so many issues. He also said all of my issues could not be addressed in one appointment, but said he would see me once a year? I left a little concerned, but I'm going to follow through and see what happens. I'm sure he is a good physician, just wish he was more personable.

Terrible doctor. Never listens to anything I say, never answers questions, and can't seem to understand even very simple requests. It is impossible to have a discussion with someone who is incapable of listening. No wonder he is still taking new patients after nearly 20 years at Kaiser.
