Physician Recommendation
The ease of scheduling my appointment, (Kat) the front desk team member that greeted me with at smile, the MA (Tamara) who made me laugh upon taking my weight and who also took great concern to my well being. Every time I have an appointment I feel cared about. I really appreciate the fact that if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment, it is easy. Also if I need a telehealth appointment, it is an option. I love that UMH-Sparrow has experienced physicians, grown in technology, and hire team members who are a perfect fit for their position.

Unprofessional, demeaning and condescending
Dr Allen is completely unprofessional. He approached the exam room on the defense without clarifying any information or even a salutation. He is not thorough with examination and does not listen or seek out root causes for any ailment or illness, he is dismissive and is demeaning. I have tolerated his unprofessionalism far too long, hoping that this review is helpful to others and they do not waste their time with Dr Allen. I will be contacting the practice manager and filing a formal complaint with University of Michigan, shameful if they do not investigate further.

I have been a patent of Dr. Allen's for several years. I am very pleased with him and his staff. He has communicated with outside specialists representing me and my interests and I received very critical and helpful solutions. Mike

This doctor has no bedside manner. Just shuffles people in and out. Has no interest in building a relationship and does not care whether your ill or well. Don’t waste your time with this office!!

Dr Allen was in a big hurry to get me out of the office. Apparently I was his inconvience of the day. I was prescribed medicine I'm allergic to. Thank you pharmacy staff for your attention to details.

Would not even give him 1 star. His bed-side manner is beyond horrible. He lacks all basic human compassion and refuses to listen to any opinions other than his own. Your healthcare is more important than his ego. Do not seek him out as a PCP.
