Excellent, caring Doctor
Our family has been seeing Dr. Richard Briggs for over 25 years, and he is very kind, caring and supportive. He always has time for us during our visits, and always helps with whatever our issues may be. He is very knowledgeable and an incredible asset to Avera McGreevy and to Brandon and we are so grateful to have him as our PCP!

I spoke with Dr. Briggs tonight as he was the on call physician. I was seen for the same thing earlier with my primary care physician and the condition became noticeably worse and different than what was diagnosed. He asked me what I wanted from him as he hadn’t seen me for this condition after I explained to him the multiple alarming symptoms. I asked him to think about it from a patients perspective and his response was that he has been doing that for 30 years. He continuously interrupted me when I was trying to explain things and I felt that he was bothered by my call and more importantly didn’t care which was very disheartening. I would never visit a physician who has this kind of approach and feel like if you don’t care then why are you in the healthcare business.

Dr. Briggs has been our family physician for 12 years. He has resolved several health issues others could not and has always tried his best to get us up and running again. We have nothing but respect for him and his practice.

Long time patient in Brandon, SD – Jun 23, 2019

This physician is quite possibly the worst doctor I've ever seen in my life. When dealing with an injury he made comments to me such as you don't look like you're in pain and you're exaggerating how bad you feel. After seeking advice from a specialist I found out the drugs he prescribed to me we're not appropriate for my injury and I did indeed have something that would be causing my pain. I would definitely choose another doctor over him!
