Excellent Care and Professional Service
I have been a patient of Dr Cook's for over 10 years. All of my family members also see Dr. Cook or Dr. Siu. We have received excellent, personalized care from both of them. They work diligently to manage their practice size so they can make sure each patient receives the necessary time to diagnose and treat each patient. Dr. Cook's staff are excellent and very professional. Dr. Cook not only shows care for me in my physical health but also in my mental and emotional health as well. I would highly recommend Dr. Cook for anyone looking for a primary care physician in the Southern Maryland Area. You will not be disappointed in his level of care, knowledge and professionalism!

Super awesome visit & wonderful staff. Timely too!
My visit with Dr. Cook was the best visit that I have had with a primary care doctor. He was thoughtful, thorough, skilled and very informative. His staff were amazing- kind, friendly and very warm. And finally, the office was impeccably clean. As it relates to weight management, he lives what he preaches. I will use Dr. Cook for my weight management needs. I have already referred my sister.

Best Doc Ever!
My entire family has been seeing him for close to a decade. He truly is the best doctor I have ever had. He allows me to ask all of my questions and takes time to explain everything. My concerns are taken seriously and he does not stop until answers are found. His bedside manner is by far my favorite. Some people dread going to the doctor but I enjoy all of my appointments with Doc Cook. It feels like catching up with an old friend. His professionalism and dedication to his patients is admirable.

One of the best Drs. I’ve ever had
With an exceptional bedside manner, Dr. Cook is thorough, thoughtful and honest. I’ve had docs blatantly lie or say anything to avoid silence. If I have some new question requiring more research, he will say he’ll do more research and will actually get back to you. My family values this personal care and interest in our overall health. We’re not just numbers on a list. The entire office staff is made up of fantastic people who care about what they’re doing and about their patients.

Dr. Richard Cook is one of the best primary doctors in Waldorf. I've been going to Dr. Cook for over 20 years now. I've never had a problem getting an appointment and there is never a wait which I love not having to wait. Dr Cook always listens to my issues and gives me the best advice needed. I would recommend Dr Richard Cook to anyone looking for a primary doctor.

Best Doctor I Have Ever Had
Telehealth
My most recent visit with Dr. Cook was COVID related. I was able to secure a same day appointment to review my symptoms and he immediately had a prescription sent in for me. I found Dr. Cook about 18 years ago for my husband. My husband convinced me to switch to Dr. Cook and now, me, my husband and my daughter are all his patients. His holistic outlook, tempered with knowing when medication is absolutely necessary along with the obvious care he has for his patients is the best I have ever experienced. I have recommended him to friends and colleagues numerous times and will continue to do so as he is simply the best physician I have ever had. If he ever relocated his practice, I would literally follow him to retain him as my physician. Even if I were to move, I would still retain him as my PCP. I am that dedicated to the care, attention to detail, thoroughness, compassion and friendliness of Dr. Cook.

A doctor that doesn't listen to his patients.
Horrible. Dr. Cooke treated me horribly. I am a disabled veteran. He doesn't listen to his patient. He doesn't like his patient to ask questions when it calls for him to repeat himself. He prescribed a medication for me and it wasn't working. 6 months later it still wasn't working so I told him I was taking it as he told me,; after dialysis which is three days a week. I asked him about the non-dialysis days. He would continue to say after dialysis. In short, I asked the pharmacist who told me to take it everyday but after dialysis on those days. I no longer go to his clinic.

We followed dr cook after he left another practice. He's the best doctor we've ever had. Always makes us feel well cared for and like we are his top priority. Very thorough. Wonderful bedside manner. Even remembers specific details about our lives from one visit to the next. His wife (Dr. Siu) is just as wonderful. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.
