Five-star outstanding Surgical group
My physician referred me to Dr. Fansler to treat chronic varicose veins on both legs. On the surgical team, I was seen by Richard Fansler, MD, and working with him, Crystal, the Ultrasound technician, and Johana, the Physician Assistant. I must say that the reception with Dennise and Kathy was very welcoming and efficient. Also, the surgical scheduler, Terry, could schedule the surgeries conveniently and with minimal waiting. I experienced great results from the surgeries in a challenging case. I highly recommend Dr. Fansler for his fantastic surgical skills, bedside manners, and excellent team. He is a five-star surgeon.

Saved my life
Dr. Fansler took over my case when I had to fire my surgeon at Advent Health North Pinellas. The liability that was left behind in my abdominal cavity by Jared Frattini was immeasurable. My death was imminent and without outside intervention guaranteed. Thank you Doctor Fansler, you and the nursing staff saved my life from becoming a victim of Florida's 'free K!ll law' at the hands of ( colorful language excluded ). Sorry it has taken 3 years to write this, the PTSD is real. Thank you again!!!

He is an excellent Surgeon; I am thrilled my primary doctor referred me to him. He was caring prior to and after the surgery. He explained the procedure and care in detail I needed. He contacted my daughter after surgery and provided her detailed information to assist me in post surgery recovery.

After finding out negative results from my mother's colonoscopy, her doctor recommended Dr. Richard Fansler for surgery. At the very first meeting he was extremely attentive and answered all our concerns. We prefer Baycare to Largo Med and he said he'd gladly do her surgery at Morton Plant. I could tell that he was in unfamiliar territory upon arrival on surgery day but that didn't stop his demeanor. The surgery went flawlessly and he went (far) out of his way to visit my mother in the hospital everyday she was inpatient. Her scars are healing nicely and all of the nurses - all unfamiliar with him at Morton Plant - said he was extremely pleasant to work with and was very attentive. I am more than happy with with his work, knowledge and professionalism and will recommend him to anyone I know needing a general surgeon.

My first experience with Dr. Fansler & his staff was when I brought my elderly mom to be examined for possible treatment of the circulation & varicose veins. I was so impressed with his caring attitude. I'm now a patient for varicose veins requiring a procedure. Appreciate how he does not jump to doing anything unless 100% necessary. Awaiting authorization from insurance to cover. Love attitude & willingness to help by his staff!

He offered his advice regarding options available and was willing to listen to what I had to say and another option I had; we ended up going with my option. He was friendly and appeared compassionate in an uncomfortable situation and did a beautiful job with my surgical procedure.

He did surgery on me at Largo Medical, he even told me this may not work, and it turned out he did not do the surgery correct the first time, I tried to book a follow up for him to fix the situation, and he is overbooked for like over 2 months. So he is unavailable to fix his own mistake in my surgery, so I have to go somewhere else (which is probably for the better). He has a reputation for overbooking from what I heard.
