Excellent Doctor! Highly recommend Dr. Gaddis!
Dr. Gaddis spends time with you and answers any questions you may have. He is never rushed. I first met him at Blount Memorial Hospital in 2004 when he was treating my dad who was there for cancer. I was so impressed with him that I asked if he was taking patients. I have been with him since then. I highly recommend Dr. Gaddis!

I'm not a new patient for Dr. Richard Gaddis. From the very first visit (about 10 years ago) to the most recent visit, he always spends quality time with me and truly LISTENS. He is never in a rush to leave the room. His bedside manner is like no other. I just couldn't say enough good about him. He's a walking medical encyclopedia. I trust him. Not sure what happened with a couple of negative reviews on here because you couldn't find a finer physician anywhere. I'd wait hours to see him (which I don't). A competent, caring provider is worth waiting for. I'd give him 10 stars if I could. He makes me FEEL better. He makes me FEEL 'cared about' and that is priceless.

Dr. Richard M. Gaddis is truly a stellar physician. I cannot express enough how very satisfied I am with him. As one grows older, it is vital to trust your personal physician. Dr. Gaddis' knowledge base & memory are encyclopedic, & his problem-solving skills are exceptional. He doesn't order tests unnecessarily. He is one of the rare doctors who really listen. If he doesn't have an immediate answer to a question, he will search until an answer is found. Having been my Physician for almost 20 years, I trust him & his care explicitly. His office is well run, and his nurses & PA are awesome. Phone calls & messages are returned promptly. If you are in need of a primary care physician, you can't go wrong with Dr. Gaddis. He is the best.

Dr. Richard Gaddis is one of the many doctors that I have ever known that is by far the best doctor for me. He tries to figure out any issues, or what became of those issues in the first place are coming from and really gets down deep into into figuring out a solution. He cares so much about his patience an takes so much time with each an everyone to resolve what’s wrong and I can already tell that me and him are going to have a really good bond as I stay here at East Tennessee medical group. I highly recommend Dr. Richard Gaddis because he is one of many doctors that is amazing at his job. He’s practically saving my life an making me into a new person for the better. If you are trying to find a primary care doctor he’s your guy 110%!!!! Thank you an have a blessed day.

I had to wait over an hour to see the doctor. When I had my records transferred to another doctor many visits were not listed yet my insurance was billed!

Excellent doctor! Takes time to listen & cares about his patient. When I had a problem that he felt needed further looking into by a specialist he sent me the best @ Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville. The specialists there praised Dr. Gaddis for his work. I recommend him to all my family & friends.

What can I say, Dr Gaddis saved my life twice. I had a very rare disease that no other Dr's recognized that would have been terminal if it had gone much farther. I get an annual exam each spring. Dr Gaddis does a thorough exam and lab work. He noticed my PSA rising and watched it for a while. He becam concerned and suggested I see a urologist. It turned out to be cancer. I was treated thanks to his thorough methods and today I'm cancer free. My entire family and brothers family go to him.

Does not spend enough time with patients, does not listen to you at all. He seems to have his mind made up about a diagnosis before entering the room.

Apparently has way too many patients. Breezes in and back out of the room in 5 minutes or less every time. Can't get test results because he hasn't had time to review them, even after waiting weeks. I would look elsewhere.
