When I first met met Dr Gilroy he told me, "I'm going to get you a new liver". He guided me through 5 years of despair, hope, encephalopathy, treatment, cancer treatment and finally He got me a new liver. He was always direct, cheerful, humorous, courteous and honest with my wife and me. We always felt things were explained well and knew what our next goal was. My last visit when I learned he was leaving I felt like I was losing a friend. Then he told me, I got you a new liver!
