Old Memories
Dr Gutknecht delivered my 2 sons, oldest Tim in 1982 & Matt 1985 (turns 40 tomorrow). Both were premature. With Matt Dr Gutknecht was leaving for Hawaii but delayed his trip to Deliver Matt. This was at the old MCI hospital in Independence. I still remember his advice in Birthing class. When you're close to time & you grocery shop first thing you do is get jar of pickles. If your water breaks you drop the jar & head to hospital. Both my sons are healthy & we're grateful to Dr Gutknecht. Thank God he's still there helping people. God's Blessings, Ralph Cook

I was very impressed with the amount of time Dr. Gutknecht and his RN Andrea spent explaining options, instructing me on procedures i need to follow and providing me with referrals.

I have been a patient of Dr.Gutknecht for many years. He was with me through all of my pregnancies. There is no one I would trust more! Plus his nurse Nancy is the absolute best!
