Wonderful Doctor! I really connected with him. He made me feel like part of his family. His staff was wonderful as well. St Francis hospital gave the very best of care all the nurses and assistants could not have done a better job taking care of me. There has never been a better surgeon and staff. Love this group! If it were possible I would give them 10 STARS!!

Dr. Johnson's help save my life and prevent paralysis. He has phenomenal diagnostic and listening skills . He ordered a stat MRI that diagnosed me with an L5-S1 abcess. I presented with symptoms 10 days before in the ER and was released with no exam or testing by the ER neurologist. Dr. Johnson read my blood work, listened to my symptoms and made a rapid diagnosis Dr. Ragone my neurologist on 7/23 sent me to the ER His phenomenal surgeons operated on July 24, 2018- Dr. Mahdok and Dr.Chen.

I had 5 years of back pain and 4 different diagnoses from reliable sources. Luckily for me, Dr. Johnson was recommended by my excellent pain management specialist. I chose him over a HSS surgeon because he not only recognized the exact problem, but was honest in adding I would need fusion. He is expert with spinal instrumentation, and he has a gentle and congenial manner. His staff is compassionate. I am now 5 months post surgery- and pain free. Dr. Johnson is The Best.
