Dr. Richard Jones, MD

Dr. Jones was very dismissive of the Sjogren's condition, indicating there was no need to be concerned about bad effects of cataract surgery and Sjogren's. After a quick web search, I found out that adverse outcomes happen more frequently in patients with Sjogren's. Apparently he is unaware of this. I've been trying to get help for the pain in the surface of my eye still occuring 3 months after surgery, and they now indicate it's only due to Sjogren's and is unrelated to the cataract surgery. So let's see: - Only started happening after the cataract surgery. - Only in the eye that had surgery. So I'd say it's the result of the surgery plus Sjogren's, not only Shogren's. My advice is if you have Sjogren's find an Opthalmologist who is a Sjogren's specialist and also does cataract surgery.

Dr Jones gave me a very thorough exam and scheduled me for cataract surgery. I selected toric lenses for my severe astigmatism (not covered by Medicare) and the laser surgery due to my glaucoma (not covered my Medicare). I went to the surgery clinic Dr Jones met with me before the procedure to see if I had questions. Shortly after I was rolled into the surgery room. He prepped my eye and the laser did the job. Thanks to the anesthesiologist I felt nothing and had no anxiety. About 15 minutes later I was rolled out to the recovery area. Every individual was caring and comforting and asked if I wanted something to drink. They called my husband and I was gone. I was very grateful Dr Jones gave me the super dark glasses because my eye was extremely dilated. The next day I saw Dr Jones for a check, and he was amazed my eye was able to see the chart with the degree of astigmatism that was fixed by the toric lens. Overall, Dr Jones made the process easy, while he monitored my progress.

I really liked him He is a very helpful doctor; the surgery was successful; good follow up and bedside manner; he took time to answer all questions; Jessica was great; his technicians were professional.

My friend who is like a family member told me about Dr. Jones. She said he did an excellent job with her cataract surgery, and was exceptionally kind to her. I emailed him about my eye condition to see if he did surgery on that type of problem. I was amazed and delighted he personally called that day and was, indeed, very kind. Although he does not do the type of eye surgery I needed, he gave me clear directions on the next steps I needed to take. I was most impressed!

Dr. Jones had to deal with my extremely challenging circumstances. Laser could not be used, so Dr. Jones had to use his precision and talent to operate on my cataracts by hand. What a complicated situation to take on, and he got it done. I will never trust anyone else with my eyes! He is so compassionate, caring, and kind. . He really empathized and helped me through it all. I can’t imagine anyone else accomplishing a great outcome like he did, under the difficulty my case presented!

My elderly mother was treated with the utmost kindness and care here from start to finish, from the front desk staff person, to the sweet employee Cindy who coordinated her benefits, to Dr Jones, and lastly Marie the surgery coordinator. All were extremely professional and helpful and really made the experience comfortable and pleasant. Thank you all.

I had cataract surgery with Dr Jones using the standard procedure. On my post op day I was so happy because my left that had the cataract removed was seeing 20/20. Everything was crisp and clear and the colors were beautiful! I could see again! Dr Jones was very helpful by answering all my questions. He is open and honest and lets you make your own decisions. He helped me understand what to expect and relieved a lot of my anxiety. I am trusting him to do my other eye in the future and look forward to seeing out of that eye with the same clarity. Thank you Dr Jones for your professionalism and thank you for making me feel at ease. All of the staff at the surgery center were wonderful! They calmed my fears also and were kind and informative. I couldn't have had a better experience!

Dr Jones performed cateract surgery for me a few weeks ago. When he first examined me I already knew the issue at hand. He confirmed the issue and scheduled the corrective surgery. He told me what to expect from the surgery and how to prepare. Everything he told me was on point in every way. I could not be happier with the results. He is very professional and yet very kind and compassionate. Dr Jones' staff if very professional and kind. One person I need to mention is Marie, surgery coordinator. She was very patient and took a good amount of time with me to make sure I knew what was going to happen and cost involved. I had questions prior to surgery and she was always ready to help me. It is very likely I would recommend Dr. Jones to family and friends. In fact, I shared his business card with a stranger who was looking for a good ophthalmologist. I chose Dr. Jones on the recommendation of a friend. Scheduler and staff person, Marie, was very helpful in finding me a more suitable date for surgery.

Excellent, kind, professional, answering every question, down to earth surgeon. The Cataract surgery was a great success. The follow ups were done in time. Fees were also extremely decent. Highly recommended. The hospital staff, including the anesthesiologist were very friendly and professional. I felt very comfortable going to surgery. Will follow soon with the surgery for the other eye.

Dr. Jones has been our ophthalmologist for about ten years. He did both my wife's cataract surgeries. He is compassionate, skilled, and has an excellent bedside manner.
