Great doc! He left Skagit Regional to where?
Dr. Lin is so kind and caught my melanoma early. I don't know where he went. Please let me know if you find out where he went. Thanks!

Excellent doctor!
I have multiple issues, and have several dermatologists over the years. Dr. Lin is the best dermatologist I have had. He listens well, knows his field very well, and is genuinely concerned about his patients.

Careful and knowledgeable
After several PCP and non-specialists tried unsuccessfully to solve my skin problem, Dr Lin nailed my skin problem and treatment on the first try. He was very patient and explained well too.

Great doctor
First and foremost both my spouse and I see Dr.Lin for multiple and serious skin conditions. Between the two of us we have seen Dr. Lin over a dozen times. I have had several doctors in the past who did not “catch” something quickly like Dr. Lin has. He has been beyond efficient and does not dismiss our concerns. He will look at some thing I think is suspicious and will either burn it off say it’s nothing or do a biopsy. He is always quick to call as soon as he has the biopsy results. He calls personally once after 7pm. Unfortunately, after several years in Hawaii, I have some skin issues but thankfully I have never had any pain on any of his procedures. I have white coat high blood pressure but it not an issue with Dr. Lin. He is has always taken as much time as he needs to. I have never felt rushed. His assistant is great and will always ask if you’re ok and to sit tight, Doc will be right in. I have recommended him to several people who all report on how wonderful their visit was.

OBGYN Practitioner or Dermatologist?
Dr. Lin is not the doctor for me. I really wanted the visit to go well, despite other reviews I've read, but it didn't go well. You see, he's supposed to be my dermatologist, but in the meeting, he turned into my OBGYN and was concerned for what some would call, a fetus and others would call a baby. Dr. Lin believes it's okay to poke his nose into my feminine health and choices. IF I was pregnant, but I am not, that would have been my choice to make (taking any meds he prescribed while pregnant). Not his choice. This is a case where he has clearly overstepped. THE STORY: I came for a prescription refill. I've been taking spironolactone for acne, it's worked for 8 yrs, I wanted to change nothing but because I'm new in town, just needed a refill. Instead, while very nice and cordial, Dr. Richard Lin decided to become concerned about my OBGYN health. He would not prescribe my medicine (that I'm already taking), without me first taking a pregnancy test. I explained I've been a

Dr. Lin has provided excellent care to me. He is highly knowledgeable and he is also very friendly and personable. He is very thorough in his exams and treatment and he is also very efficient. He takes the time to answer any questions. I feel very blessed to have him as a health care provider.

My appointment was for 10:15 and although I arrived quite early, (about 9:45) I was taken back after waiting only 5 minutes by his happy & friendly assistant. I left the exam room at 10:09. He is friendly, efficient and thorough in his exam and is consistent in listening, asking questions and following up at the end to ensure I do not have any other concerns. I did not feel rushed during the appointment & felt he spent the appropriate amount of time with me and addressed my concerns. His recommendations for meds have been helpful and I have seen quicker results than with any other Derm Doc, PA or NP I have seen in 10 years.

First visit with Dr. Lin. He is extremely personable and has outstanding bedside manner. His exam was through and he asked me if I had any areas of concern. He immediately diagnosed numerous pre-cancerous skin lesions and one area on which he did a biopsy (since diagnosed as squamous cell carcinoma). He phoned me himself to inform me of the biopsy result. Followup is scheduled. Dr. Lin has outstanding credentials and did everything imaginable to diagnose and treat my skin issues. I highly recommend him and plan to see him routinely in the future.

Hardly spent more than 5 minutes with me for both of my appointments. (i’ve been in twice). He has inquired nothing about family history and pretended like he reviewed my recent blood work labs (taken literally downstairs at Skagit Regional Smokey Point). I asked him to please pull it up because if he had actually read it, then he would have seen that my liver enzymes (AST/ALT) were double and triple the normal values respectively. In addition, I came in with a 131 Heart Rate of which he said he would have to “send me downstairs back to urgent care if it didn’t go down”. My heart rate, measured by his vitals machine and his “trustworthy” Medical Assistant showed 127 beats per minute at the end of the appointment. The medical assistant said this was enough of a decrease to which I know is a lie and malpractice due to my extensive history in Washington State EMS. This man has a Harvard Education but cares very little and holds a poor bedside manner. Please do not trust this doctor.
