From the moment we reached out to him, to all the phone calls and text, he always made us feel like we were a top priority. My 16 year old son, who was a top nationally ranked tennis player began having back pain in Aug of 23 and was diagnosed with a stress fracture in his S1L5. I had nerve problems in addition to my disc herniations and spinal arthritis, Dr. McMurtrey was incredible, talked me through all my options and I chose to do regenerative procedures for everything. He did incredible work on my spine and nerves which was comfortable and nearly painless, and after just a couple weeks my nerve pain went to zero and my nerve issues resolved with no pain numbness or weakness. He was the most thorough and knowledgeable doctor I ever met, and even showed me my pinched and swollen nerves on ultrasound and carefully injected around them to help loosen up scarring and fibrosis and help remyelination around the nerve fibers. I found Dr. McMurtrey after doing a lot of research to find the best in the stem cell therapy realm. I’m very pleased to say that he did not disappoint. He was meticulous and compassionate through the whole process, and he did some incredible work with several procedures on my spine, which gave me even better improvement than I hoped for in my neck and back and helped me avoid some bigger surgeries I was offered.

He rents an honest opinion. I made an appointment for a second opinion in a meningioma (brain tumor), shoulder fracture, tibia fracture, plateau knee, head injury and osteoporosis. He reviewed my MRI's and explained step by step what needs to be done and which alternatives is good for me and why. I was very satisfied to know before any procedure he will prepare me with supplements, medicine to make sure that I was fit and there is not any underline issues. I saw Dr. McMurtrey for an ankle replacement that remained sore two years after surgery as well as for a compromised shoulder and ulnar and median nerves, which were preventing me from sleeping. He spent three hours reviewing my history, and with elegant connections of disparate evidence, came up with a theory that explained my widely separated neuropathies. He spent another two hours doing diagnostic ultrasound on the problem areas before injecting them with a combination of antibiotics and analgesics that relieved my pain. When I told him that he was at the far end of the bellcurve in terms of spending time and thought on a patient's complex problems, he humbly thanked me, and then said that the current medical model hadn't allowed him to practice medicine as he had dreamt he could. I would say that he's realizing his dreams for himself and his patients. I can't recommend him too highly.

I have several injuries from my past (sports, Marines ... ya know the usually damage). Definitely wasn't easy on my body through my youth and as I get older I have little new injuries that just compound these old injuries. Ive seen several doctors over the years and they always... take nsaids, ice, or some bad idea major surgery. Then one of the guys on my soccer league told me about his knee injury he went to see Dr McMurtrey about so I thought heck it's worth a shot. I called and had a consult appointment super quick. I went in and Dr McMurtrey spent 5 times the amount of time I expected looking at my injuries, doing ultrasounds, listening to my injury history and how the pain comes up.
