Few years ago, I was in lot of pain and distress and had a suspition for Lupus or RA diagnosis. Waited 2 months for appointment. Dr. Neiman was a first Rheumatologist and what a nightmare it was. He was disrespectful, rude, shouted at me, ordered a complex lab work but didn't care to explain them to me. l left with no explanation, solution or support. He wasn't interested to make a follow up appointment.

Another misdiagnosis but this one is unique, he diagnosed me before our first meeting and before receiving any of my medical records or history. I found Dr Neiman to be bullying, prideful and easy displaced from his objectivity that must remain solid to perform his duties. I felt belittled and out of control of my medical decisions, I did not know the results of any of my lab tests and was shouted at for asking questions about his prescriptions. I still don’t understand why I needed to do jumping jacks, push ups, sit ups, crunches or why I needed to take my clothing off for the first visit. I still don’t understand why I went to physical therapy when his later questions made it obvious he never read their reports. I finally left when it was confirmed as a misdiagnosis but I was ordered in a raised voice to continue looking for his white whale. Don’t go alone, that was my mistake. I have a phobia of all medical settings after being his patient.

Dismissed my inflammation markers (and fibromyalgia) as solely a symptom of obesity. Not sure he ran full panel of tests. I'd say it was an off day, but it was several days...an off season?

Suggested some odd treatments (vitamin B-12 shots and avoiding gluten) for fatigue. I'm not sure if he thought they would work or if he's just trying placebos.
