Dr. Parent offers LINX ®, a new laparoscopic procedure to treat GERD. This procedure involves a string of metal beads that are drawn together by a magnet. When this string is placed around the lower esophagus, the magnet pulls the beads together and closes off the esophagus from the stomach.

He talks to you with a matter of fact demeanor but is compassionate, and upfront which I appreciated. He appears confident in his knowledge and practice, and doesn’t speak on areas outside of his scope of practice. His follow up with notification and more tests, was prompt and pertinent. Appreciated his call to the house, to see how it was going after discharge.

Dr Parent was amazing! He is very calm natured, confident and patient. I had to have emergency gall bladder surgery and he was the surgeon. I am very thankful that he was my surgeon! He and I agreed to do the surgery that night. Dr. Parent made me feel very comfortable with the surgery and what I could expect. After the surgery, he took the time to talk with me and make me comfortable. I am impressed and so thankful he took the time to sit and talk with me. Thank you Dr. Parent!!

When a strangulated hernia became an emergency, Dr Parent came to the rescue, and when the surgery had to be performed, there was no doubt Dr. Parent was the best Surgeon for the Job. The care and preparation for the surgery was more than I could have hoped for from Dr. Parent, his staff, and the staff at St. Helena Hospital. I feel very fortunate to have under the care of Dr. Parent.

I was one of dr. Parents first patients even though I had some hardships during the first six weeks or so I wouldn't have changed it and I do have a group page on Facebook for people thinking or already have had surgery it is st. Helena bariatric and metabolic Center it is an open group so if you are interested just look for us on Facebook

Dr. Parent and his staff are amazing people. He is very kind and to the point, no sugar coating. He cares about you and your well being. Before my surgery on November 10th of 2015, he wanted to make sure I was absolutely sure I was ready and was sure I wanted to go through with it. (Bariatric surgery) I look forward to my office visits with him and Ingrid because they make me feel so comfortable and I know they actually care about me. He is very knowledgeable & I trust him 100 percent.
