He is old school. Will give it to you straight. I can understand this style not being for everyone however. Definitely looks for lifestyle changes before going to medication. At least in my case. YMMV.

Utterly incompetent. Prescribes codeine cough syrup for everything, had a misdiagnosis on my charts for over a year and never thought to mention it, and cannot manage to get the same prescriptions I've needed for 5 years to the pharmacy DOWNSTAIRS every month. I came in with complaints about my depression (undiagnosed then), talking about negative thought spirals, self-harm, and overall difficulty living - he told me to exercise and sent me on my way. I would not wish him on my worst enemy.

I just finished medical school out of state. Have no professional affliation w/ Dr. Rose. Saw him as a pt for the first time. Feel that these ratings here are inaccurate. He is one of the old guard physicians, somewhat rough around the edges, not schooled in the touchy-feely niceties that new doctors are taught. However, he is courteous, precise, thorough, and mostly on time. If you want a physician who makes you feel loved, try someone else, but if you want a good doc, he is that for sure.
