Doesn't Listen
The issue with check-ups is that he only gives you 15 minute slots. He asks the same set of basic questions every time. I have to initiate any sort of conversation about symptoms and dosages, and oftentimes he seems dismissive about it. It feels like he follows some formulaic script, where he asks his questions and raises his dose. Again, the sessions feel rushed as the slots are only 15 minutes, and the frequency is also very bad. Some medications act faster than others, so when you are given a new dosage you can tell early on (within a few days or weeks) if it is ineffective. If that is the case, bad news because you'll be stuck with this dose for 3, 4, or more weeks.

A consummate professional with a heart
I’ve been patient of Dr. Rosengard since for 20 plus yrs. After bouncing around trying to find a Dr that truly made a positive impact on my life, I was referred by another phycian to Dr. R.osengard. I’ve always found him to actively & genuinely listen to my individual challenges. I really appreciate the fact Dr. Rosengard encourages me to be part of my own treatment plan. He has a way of articulating things that make complex issues much easier to understand. As long as you communicate with scheduling, the staff will do everything possible to help you. I’ve been the recipient of their efforts several times. A great Dr and a caring person.

I wish i could have him again :(
I used to see Dr . Rosengard about 11 years ago . He was the first person i ever went to with my struggles. I was very scared to take any pills but i Put all my trust in him because he always treated me with professionalism. I always felt heard and he always took his time to talking to me to check how i was feeling or if i had any concerns . He made me feel safe and always new what to prescribe me and never made me feel pressured. I never had an issue with getting my prescriptions from him or getting any of my questions answered . He is very knowledgeable and took the time to explain things to me . He was very understanding about a-lot of things and if i could go back to him i would . Unfortunately he does not take my insurance any more . But i still look for him every once in a while to see if one day he will again . The reason I stopped seeing him years ago was not because of him it was because of his crazy receptionist! She made it impossible for me to ever schedule with him agai

Very Little Help
Went to Dr. Rosengard for a little over a year. You get, at best, 15 minutes of his time and he writes you a new prescription. Little, if anything, about how you're doing or the issues you're dealing with. Very disappointed.

Amazing care and compassion for people
I was referred to Dr Rosengard by a friend over 10 years ago. I am thankful for the referral. For over 10 years Dr Rosengard has shown that he cares for people, he wants to help, and he has the experience to help. I will not go to another doctor, he has been exceptional in his bed side manner, expertise, and honest compassion. His office staff is icing on the cake. His office staff truly goes above and beyond, I have had first hand experience with how good the whole staff treats its clients. I recommend Dr Rosengard and his office to everyone.

I thought he was the Dr
Would be nice to not have to jump through hoops of his schedulers analysis to even get anywhere. I quit going 2 years ago because front office didn't follow up with what he said when I tried to call. Was told we dont work that way and told I would be charged though Dr Rosengard told me the day before if complication, call right away. I did, she said No and from there I just went a different direction. Today I called to possibly start seeing him again. Scheduling an appointment turned into her analyzing my situation of how i was paying and what my direction of medical choice is. Then copped an attitude, through mje a high cash number. Just like before. I liked Dr Rosengard. I stepped away from medication and modern medicine to evaluate things better.

His office assistant is incompetent and he doesn’t appear to want to get involved. Can’t leave phone message since voice box is full two days straight!

Dr. Richard Rosengard is the only psychiatrist that was able to figure out that I was manic bipolar and had ADHD. I had been struggling for 25 years and gone to at least 10 different psychiatrists and been on every medication there is. He patiently worked with me on medications until I was stable. I have been seeing Dr. Rosengard for almost 7 years. I highly recommend him.

What can I say that hasn't already been said? Same 5 questions followed by scripts. I don't even want to talk about the office staff. It's late July and none of my 6 visits this year have been sent to my insurance provider.

He listens but ask you same 5 questions then writes a script, very rote. Just stayed with him because he took my insurance. His practice is terrible. Office manager is off site and when you speak with her, she is very rude and condescending. Never get a live person. This place gives more anxiety than it relieves.

Dr Rosengard is great. However his office staff is beyond awful! For a person already with anxiety, his office staff has caused multiple unnecessary days of worrying. My prescriptions never got faxed to the pharmacy. After calling multiple times, they finally called back to tell me that in fact they did send them. Well regardless, the pharmacy didn’t have them and I can’t go without them. 3 weeks later, I had medication. Straight to voicemail every time. Rude, incompetent staff!!!

I love Dr. Rosengard. I've been with him a couple years now and he listens to me and has always been kind and understanding. The only huge problem I have is that you never get a live person on the phone. You have to leave a message and you're lucky if you get a call back. it's so frustrating.

I got an appointment quickly when I neded it. Dr Rosengard has a very pleasant manner, asks pertinent questions, listens well, gives thorough explanations, has prescribed a very effective regimen for me, and does appropriate monitoring. The only small problem I have had is I am unable to get a quick return call from staff when trying to reschedule or verify an appointment time. I always get a call back the next day though. Overall, I am glad to have found this very competent psychiatrist.

I have been seeing Dr. Rosengard for a number of years and have found his guidance and knowledge top-notch and extremely helpful. He has a very "no nonsense" approach, which may turn some people off, but frankly I find it refreshing and efficient. I do not get the sense that he is uninterested or lacks empathy, but rather that he would like to help me as quickly and diligently as possible.

Richard seemed like he cared he did help the last few years. Last year made me second guess the regiment of the drugs and changed me to some new medicine again. The billing has always been a nightmare, tell me I don't owe anything. I just received a full year of debt I now owe from 2016! Then the rude guy with glasses works in the office cares less if you need something from Richard. Due to there mistake, left me 2 weeks without a new drug just placed on. Never received a call from anyone!!!!!!

Dr. Rosengard has been a tremendous asset in my search for the right treatment for my refractory depression. I would highly recommend him to anyone searching for a compassionate, knowledgable & attentive psychiatrist. He has been especially patient & flexible in managing the unique complexities of my case. I have dealt with several good physicians over the years, but Dr. Rosengard has earned my highest respect & trust, he has displayed impeccable ethics & genuine concern for my progress.

Very poor service for a doctor. Staff is non-accomodating. My appointment was not confirmed, nor was my telephone call confirming my appointment returned. I went on the wrong day and was told in order to see the dr I was to pay $150 for the missed appt and $300 for the appt that day. This dr is all about money not about helping people. Don't waste your time and money!!
