Never called back
I traveled over 4 hours round trip to see her. I’ve called every day for 3 years since, begging for the results of the bloodwork she ordered. I’m confident I will never get those results, but I surely got the bill for the visit.

Disgusted patient – Mar 16, 2025

DO NOT RECOMMEND
I wish I could leave no stars. She lacks bedside manners. She becomes very irritated with her patients conditions. She does not have any patience. She belittled me and insulted my dignity and integrity in front of her resident doctors. She did not review my chart before entering my room; therefore, she had to rely on her residents to fill her in, which led to a misdiagnoses. I feared for my life when my care was in her hands. I cant believe the medical board allows someone like her to practice medicine. She did not listen to any of my concerns and proceeded to be passive aggressive and assertive while speaking to me.

Worst MDA doctor ever.
She is very cold hearted and has no bedside manner whatsoever. She doesn't examine or touch her patients. She claims to put in referrals but no one ever calls to schedule. She gets an attitude if you ask questions. She let's the staff do all the work then comes in and looks at the computer then rushes you out. She also treats patients like they are beneath her.

Does not listen to patient. Has a superiority complex. Is argumentative if patient asks questions. Walks out on patient and ends visit abruptly when they request a more in-depth explanation for her diagnoses.

Baton Rouge, LA – Dec 05, 2017
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. El-Abassi?
I waited over 9 months to see Dr. El-Abassi for a specialty second opinion as recommended by my neurologist. She was frustrated with my inability to speak quickly, didn't listen to what I was explaining, began typing on her cell after 5 minutes & examined me for less than a minute. I had to call out to her as she left for her to take my previous results. She returned with a generic diagnosis & ordered a "new" medication, which I told her I already tried. Condescending when I asked to explain.
