If I could leave a '0' recommend I would. Beware of this doctor. My mother saw her for some time and at the last visit my mother left her office in tears. My father had passed away a short time prior to the visit and instead of being a comfort to my mother she rushed through the visit only concerned with meds-which she changed with no consideration to her current state of mind. Mom suffers from anxiety & depression for many years. Now has psychiatrist she loves. DON'T MAKE THIS MISTAKE

I saw Dr. Patel for several years. I explained my previous diagnoses to her, but only one of them was reported in my chart. She didn't listen to my concerns and, in fact, told me each time I saw her that I would be "so much happier" if I just lost weight. Then she handed me a pamphlet about Aurora's meal program. She dismissed the idea that I am ADHD, though I had already been diagnosed by another doctor. I also told her I had very high anxiety, but she told me that was just the depression.

I called the office to ask if she could increase one of my meds since my blood work showed it was below low average (not a controlled substance) because I was having intermittent suicidal thoughts. She said I should go inpatient and she wouldn't see me because I had an appt with a different Dr. in 21 days that I had to wait almost 3 months to get. She saw me for a bridge appt after seeing her many times in partial so I had no one else to call. She just hung up the phone on me and was very rude!!

I don't feel this provider cares about your wellbeing. She's so quick to rush you out of the door, barely lets you talk or explain your situation. She doesn't ask if you have any other questions. One second she says take medication at night but in the same breath will say take medication in the morning. So confusing. I was also denied a ESA letter although I was diagnosed with PTSD. I am seeing another psychiatrist to make sure I've been diagnosed currently. I would not recommend this provider.
