Failed Microdisectomy
I had surgery on July 2 2020. For my S1 L5 that was causing severe sciatica. Now I am in worst pain then before surgery. I have numbness in my left foot & both calves. My spine feels very unstable. I remember when I woke up from surgery they wanted me to walk. I screamed I can't feel my legs or feet. I honestly wish I never had this surgery. When I went back I told him all this. His only suggestion was a spinal cord stimulator. So needless to say I've been in the worst depression of my life since 2020. Could it have been my anatomy? Not Dr. Wadawa. Of course. I live in constant chronic pain. I do not take opiates. It's really a sad situation to be in.

Dr. Wadwha has been a great surgeon and wonderfully patient with my care. I have had two surgeries with him and am about to undergo another major surgery. My spine has had a lot of issues and he has taken time to explain all. His PA Eric is amazing and super responsive.

Dr Wadhwa did surgery on my lower back in October 2018. First I would like to say he is one of the most sincere Drs I have known. He is kind, caring and compassionate. He also explained my condition, and took time to answer any questions I had about surgery.

Dr. Wadhwa reviewed my MRI's and X-rays for my severe lower back and leg pain and determined that all discs between L2 and L5 vertebrae were disintegrated, putting pressure on lower back and leg nerves. In November, 2018, he removed the discs, replaced them with bone-infused cages and fused the four vertebrae. The care he and his staff at the Spine Institute and the Specialists Hospital provided me were exceptional. My outcome exceeded any expectations. No lower back and leg pain.

I saw Dr. Wadhwa for severe neck, shoulder and nerve pain. He did see my MRI. He told me that he could do a fusion on C3&4 and C 4&5. Dr Wadhwa did tell me that he wasn't really sure if it would take away all of my pain, particularly my nerve pain. After getting a second opinion I found my most severe problems are C5&6 and C6&7. Those are stopping my spinal fluid from flowing which could lead to paralysis. I hate to think what would have happened to me if I wouldn't have had a 2nd opinion.
