Dr. Rita Rahbany, MD

Dr. Rahbany is a great doctor and I really like her. She helped me get my hyperthyroid condition back to normal and now I am seeing her for osteoporosis. However, the downside is that her office is typically late and you usually have to wait well beyond your scheduled appointment time. There is a sign at their counter that says 'Please Allow 60-90 Minutes for your Appointment'. For my 11:30am appointment this week, I didn't get into a examination room until 1:00pm and the doctor came into my room about 1:45. All in all I was in her office from 11:15am to 2:00pm and when I left the waiting room was empty. Also, I called her office today to follow up with some details about my visit and was on hold for 25 minutes until someone answered. I would give her a 5-star review but this chronic late issue with her office makes me reluctant to do so.

Dr. Rahbany and her staff has been amazing to me the last year or so I've been a patient. She is approachable, genuinely cares, and is a knowledgeable and proactive doctor. I highly recommend.

I’ve been a patient of Dr Rahbany’s for over 10yrs. While I do respect her and she has helped me over the years, her practice makes it impossible to stay a patient. The wait time is ridiculous. While signs posted in her office say 60-90 wait, it’s much longer even when you have the first appointment in the morning!! There is no respect for the patient schedule and time. If you have to contact t the office, you might as well visit the office because they never answer the phone or call you back. I’m sure I can find another office where there is more respect for patients.

Everyone in the office is very friendly. The staff is always willing to go the extra mile to lend assistance to help the patient. I have been going there for years. I would never go to another Dr. Dr. Rahbany takes her time with you and listens to what you have to say.

Stay away from this office. Lack of effective communication, they are not about the patient, all about the $$$$. Had an awful experience, had to get a second opinion. Dr. Rahbany wanted me to have HyperParaThyroid surgery without a biopsy of the present nodule. All experts I spoken find this to be irresponsible. No Dr. will go for a surgery without discarding all risk. STAY AWAY!!!

I'm possible to get in contact to this office. They never answered the phone. No matter what day or time you call they never answered. Also you have to wait over 1 hour to see the doctor.

It has been a great help for my diabetes and thyroid

She has helped me where others have failed. Very detailed oriented and concerned. A very knowelegeable doctor and I respect her abilities.

I had to find out the hard way that I was a diabetic, by suffering a DKA. My doctor placed me on a bunch of pills and insulin after the episode and sent me on my way. Dr Rahbany looked at my situation and determined that most of the medicines were unnecessary, and would harm my liver over time. She placed me on a new medication that removed my insulin and helped me lose weight.

I been a patient of Dr Rahbany for many years but honestly i can’t take it anymore, the wait is unreal 90 minutes then again in the exam room finally the Dr shows up to spend few minutes am the one who always gives suggestions about new diabetics medication she never bother to change her routine and her staff are very unprofessional never answer the phone always grouchy i finally left and found myself a great pleasant Dr without the wait and the unhappiness

Called for days!

"I was a patient of Dr. Rahbany for at least 15 years. I was always on time for my appts, never had to reschedule, and never complained about the 90-min wait times, the difficulty reaching staff by phone/email, or the consistent issues with RX refills, until now. The staff is unprofessional, incompetent, and clearly unhappy, a reflection of the Office Manager, Carrie, who lacks the skills of a true medical office manager. Due to the inability of this office to properly complete a prior authorization form for the pharmacy to issue my RX refill, the request has been denied again. After four days of talking, not yelling, with the office to resolve the issue Carrie has now informed me I was medically discharged and no longer a patient. My appt for next week was cancelled and I have no medication left to lower my blood sugar. Is this the kind of doctor's office you're looking for??"

Dismissive staff. Dr Rahbany is not a Dr I'll ever go back to. Refers for surgery and then holds you hostage for OV and dismissive.

Dr. Rahbany and staff are personable, professional and efficient. I’ve been to and worked with many doctors and Dr. Rahbany and her staff are exceptional.

Absolute AWFUL staff. They are so unprofessional and apparently the office manager trumps the doctor on the decisions for this practice. In my case I travel a lot so I had to reschedule the appointment twice but I gave them plenty of notice. I called to move my last appointment a few days because my lab tests results would not get there on time and they absolutely refused to move it just 2 days. They said I had show up for the appointment "pay for it" or they would remove me for the practice. I have never heard of such a ridiculous thing. Even though the whole point of the appointment was for the doctor to see my results, they told me I had to show up, pay for this appointment, and then make another one (pay again) to review the results. The office manager is unprofessional inconsiderate person on a power trip. She refused to talk to the doctor about my situation. Doctor is good but since she can not manage her staff, I give this practice a "0"

Told up front to expect 60-90 minute waits. Exceeded more than once. Doesn’t value your time. Wife and I started seeing new endocrinologist and big improvements from the beginning for each of our conditions due to tweaks in medication and new advice on how to use medications. Office consistently seemed to struggle with technology (accessing Dexcom data, patient portal)

Yes the wait time is long, but she is definitely worth the wait. She is very thorough, excellent and professional. She takes her time to listen to your concerns and symptoms. She has been my Endocrinologist for several years. I had a serious issue with my thyroids and she took her time to find out what was wrong and created a treatment plan. I have since been a lot better under her care. I have seen several Endocrinologists in Central Florida and she is the best.

I have been with Dr Rahbany for many years now. I see her when I need to for evaluation, treatment and follow ups. She is attentive, thorough and definitely an expert. I was surprised to see negative comments about her practice. Sometimes there is a wait in her office but when you go in to see her, you understand why. You have her undivided attention. She has reviewed your chart and is aware of what is going on with your condition. She will answer any questions you have and will guide through the complicated process that is a lifelong medical condition. She is not a primary care Doctor that you see for every ache and pain. She is a very knowledgeable, compassionate Doctor for specific conditions. I, myself recently had a crisis and the office staff gave me a quick appointment and thankfully it was resolved. I continued follow ups with my primary care Doctor. While I agree that getting through on the phones is a challenge, it’s a small price to pay for a great Doctor.
