Dr Rita Shah was aggressive, combative, and defensive from the moment she opened the door into my room. She was asking questions very quickly and pointedly at me and I felt very judged, and it got to the point where I had to assert myself and tell her I was the sick patient and I shouldn’t have to defend myself and that she needs to back off a little. I can’t imagine someone being sicker than I having her as a doctor because they probably wouldn’t be able to stand up to her as I did. I’m sure she’s brilliant but her bedside manner needs a TON of work. Never returning.

I have no idea why anyone would give her anything other than five stars. She is compassionate and caring. If you have to wait, it is because she is spending time with other patients. After all insurance companies only let doctors have 15 minutes per patients and that includes all the extras stuff they have to do outside the face to face time. If you have Dr. Shah as a physician, you have a gem.

Dr. Shah is an excellent internist, thorough and caring. Found her after my doctor of some 30 years retired. I am so pleased that she started taking new patients. She listens, asks questions and answers questions. Speaks to patients as equals in the process of achieving best health outcomes. It is a conversation that all doctors should try to have instead of the customary arrogant dictums that more often characterize doctor/patient interactions.
