Scare tactics
Dr. Mohammad Rizvi DO Cardiologist had testing done on me on 8-5 and 8-6. After a Transthoracic Echocardiogram performed 7AM on 8-6-24 they had me wait in an exam room. At around 8AM he sent in his PA Christy Powell after he apparently told her the findings. She was very concerned and told me my heart was very weak, I had a blood clot in the sack under my heart and the sac was full of fluid. I had supposedly had a heart attack in the recent past and I should go to the Emergency room. She repeated this info to my wife via phone call. She (the PA) didn't even want me to drive 2 miles home to meet my wife who I contacted and she left her job to be with me. I returned to the Advent ER shortly afterwards where I was monitored and they ran testing. Then the ER Doc tells me he spoke to Rizvi and there was no blood clot and the fluid in the sac was normal. At the time did not experience any pain, shortness of breath or any other symptoms. They were trying to hospitalize me for a nonemergency.

Diagnosed My Elussive Heart Condition
I have had this intermittent and unexplained heart issue for about 37 years. I have been trying to get a diagnosis for the last 15 years (e.g. multiple general practitioner visits, multiple EKGs) with no luck. The problem is that it only shows up when no doctor is around. It is the singing frog. I am middle aged and generally healthy, otherwise. Dr. Rizvi listened to my observations, experience, and symptoms and considered them. He put a plan in place to see the intermittent heart issue and confirm a diagnosis. He did just that. With patience, planning, excellent listening, and detailed memory, he followed me through the process and found my diagnosis. He is young and intelligent and he is your advocate. He explained each step of the process so that I could question it and accept it. He explained my heart condition with calmness and great bedside manner and that makes it easier to accept.

I feel confident!
Dr. Rizvi made me confident in his ability to diagnose and treat my cardiovascular problems during my first visit. Since then he has been excellent at coordinating the diagnosis and treatment plan. I am very, very happy to have him as my cardiologist.

Heartfelt first visit
I will always remember the first time that my dad and I met Dr. Riz. I was a little concerned that he was fresh out of college but after the first few minutes of meeting him, I had such a peace. He took as much time as we needed to talk with him. He was sincere, honest and optimistic. My dad's cardiology needs came as such a surprise to our family and I needed to know that he would get the best care. Dr. Riz was reassuring and made a lasting impression that is unmatched. With his plan of care, prayer and commitment, my dad basically has a new heart and for that we are forever grateful.

First visit to Cardiologist
Dr Rizvi was the first cardiologist I had ever had to see, due to finding I had AFib. He was extremely reassuring and explained exactly what I needed to have done. I found him friendly informative and helpful. His office staff are friendly and always there to help. I would highly recommend this practice.
