I had an extremely poor experience with Dr. Adams. I was diagnosed with breast cancer at age 40, and even though I was in total shock and devastation, he pushed me into his decision for what type of reconstruction I should have. When he asked me what size I would like my new chest to be, I said a B cup, but he said he would give me a C cup instead because it was easier for him. Then, after the surgery, I became sick with Sepsis due to an infection in one of the reconstructed breasts he'd implanted in me. After an emergency surgery to remove it, he verbally assaulted my parents (who were caring for me), saying, "How could you have let this happen? These are my breasts!" He berated them, and when my mother complained to a nurse who informed Dr. Adams, he came into my hospital room and ignored her while examining me. He then turned to her coldly and said with an intimidating voice, "So, do we have a problem here?" We didn't but we should've made an official complaint of his behavior.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer and needing mastectomy and reconstruction. I feel truly blessed to have Dr Adams for my reconstruction. He explained everything and always made me feel so comfortable. I always left his office feeling better. I don't think I could have gotten through my surgery and recovery without him.
