Dr. Robert Behrend, MD

Wow. Read the review already here. Went in Jan. 2021 as my doctor retired. Told me he would not prescribe me medicine I has been taking for several years. No explanation. Told me to go see a psychiatrist. No explanation. Seemed condescending, moody, almost angry. After reading several reviews I will be looking for a different doctor. No wonder he is taking new patients, he has to replace the ones that leave.

Today I watched him raise his voice and holler at a patient because the patient disagreed with him. He did this twice to silence the patient. I have never seen such a lack of professionalism and disrespect for a patient. I will never use him as a personal physician and not recommend him to anyone.

He was extraordinarily invalidating. I felt as if he was telling me that nothing was wrong with me and I was being overreactive. He seemed condescending. Every time I went I felt like crying afterward, but I kept going back thinking maybe it would be better next time. Well, this was the last time. If you want a compassionate doctor who will explain things to you, this is not a doctor I would recommend.

I will never never never recommend this Dr. to anyone ! He does not have any compassion and moody. He thinks I worry to much about my body when I told him some issues I am experiencing during my last consultation with him and he adamantly told me that I SHOULD SEE A PSYCHIATRIST! He made that suggestion from the list of medicine I am taking. I have a heart condition and on blood thinners and suffers from spells of dizziness. I need a GOOD internal medicine (not Better or best ..Just GOOD)

Do not ever go to to Dr. Behrend. I went to him as a new patient. he treated me with contempt. Immediately told me he was not going to keep me drugged up. he asked me where my other supply of drugs were. I have been taking the same Regiment of medication for 20 years as I have cerebral palsy. He told me to see a psychiatrist. I don't have mental issues. He lied in his notes that I was married and my husband helped me with my medical history. I'm a widow.

I would never recommend this Doctor to anyone. I had multiple symptoms that I wanted him to look at to try to help me. As soon as he saw depression in my medical history, he referred me to a psychiatrist. He didn't do any labs or CT scan, nothing. He told me nothing was wrong physically. I thought wow this guy must have super powers if he can figure that out by just looking at me. I went to a different doctor who figured it out for me and I am feeling much better but I may be having surgery.
