Saved my life with a pacemaker.
Very professional and approachable. Gave medical details and asked if I had any questions about pacemaker procedure. Made my husband and I very comfortable about surgery.

Unskilled
Dr Berkley implanted a cardiac loop recorder on January 11th 2022. Upon this procedure he said there would be pressure upon insertion. There was pressure. It instantly migrated to my pleural wall of my left lung in the back portion. It was never located in my pectoral area at anytime. In the recovery area my blood pressure was 293 over 176. I was told I was overreacting. The pain was excruciating. The recovery nurse Fiona was dismissive and very uncaring. Before this procedure I was draped and never saw the doctors face. Not once did they call to check on me it schedule a follow up. Nevada Heart & Vascular Dr Hawass saw it was not located in the pectoral area. A stat Ct was ordered which was never sent over. I did it myself. Ct scan showed it’s location as I said. Dr Arjun Guruaj performed an exploratory which was unnecessary and damaged my chest muscles and nerves. In recover a cart is brought over and immediately showed it in the same area as the ct scan. Be very careful!

Provider not call me after my elderly mother's pacemaker procedure to let me know she was ok. I was worried sick since we were not allowed to go to hospital with COVID going on. When I asked him why he didn't call just to say all is well, or have someone else check in and let us know all was well, he said "I am a busy person." Avoid this provider at all costs. He does not care about people or their families and is a top-notch jerk. I don't care where you trained, communicating with family after any surgical procedure is standard protocol. If you don't like patients, and still want to be a physician, become a pathologist.

I am not sure why Dr. Berkley decided to become a physician. He lacks empathy & doesn't appear to like caring for people--maybe because he does not CARE about people. He does not answer questions appropriately, if at all. 95 year old mom develops an atrial flutter several months after pacemaker surgery. "Why?," I ask. "She is old" is the reply. Spent only 3-4 minutes in the room with my mom during each of two follow up visits. He is condescending and dismissive. Does not explain the rationale behind any medication or the impacts living with a new condition. Does not take time with patient, appears detached, completely disinterested and distracted. I am a healthcare professional myself, my brothers are both physicians. When I told them about Dr. Berkley's behavior, they both said "bad provider." Found another cardiologist in a solo practice in Henderson who is caring & taking time to listen, seeks to understand the patient and their condition. Find another provider!

Dr. Berkley was friendly, efficient, and very knowledgeable. He ordered tests and ask about my concerns. When my tests were complete he let me know what I should do and when I should come back. I think he is a very good doctor. I would recommend him to my family and friends.

Dr. Berkley literally saved my life. Went to Dr. Berkely at request of my primary doctor. I had no symptoms except shortness of breath, even my blood work and EKG were good. Dr. Berkley found a 99% blockage of my widow maker artery. Heart surgeon operated very next morning. Surgeon said I would not have survived a heart attack. Thanks to Dr. Berkely I'm here to teach my kids to drive, celebrate my 30th wedding anniversary, and have lots more wonderful experiences to come!!

DO NOT USE THIS DOCTOR! He is horrible. He has no respect for his patient, does not listen, does not focus on your test results, is in a hurry - spending less than 10 minutes a visit, and makes it very obvious that he could care less. After seeing him through 6 weeks of tests and 3 visits, he never reviewed tests and said I was fine. Two other cardiologists disagreed and found the problem. Google his practice, they just got fined by the federal government for deceptive practices.

Waited over two hours after appointment time. He spent 10 minutes and ordered tests without telling what they do. Not friendly or efficient and doesn't mine keeping you waiting.

Terrible Doctor and office!!!! The doctor is so RUDE and terrible bedside manner! He made us uncomfortable and definitely not easy to talk to like doctors should be. His office staff is so unprofessional and unorganized!!! Do not go to this office if you expect to be treated well or taken care of. Wish I could give it a 0! Every visit is worse than the previous.....

PLEASE don't use this heart doctor!! I needed an emerg. pace maker. He REFUSED to come and talk to me and my family before surgery. He botched 1st surg. Made me wait in ICU for 5 days to do 2nd surg. He botched 2nd. surgery!! When I went to his office after 1st surgery, because i knew something was wrong, he almost put me in cardic arrest. Had to be taken next door to MtView by parimedics! Something is not right with this Dr. He has no compassion what so ever. Never lets you know whats going on!
