Dedicated doctor
Dr Canby prioritized my needs and scheduled my procedure in record time. He explained everything thoroughly and in detail never making me feel rushed through the consult. When I expressed worry that I would not be able to clearly relay the info and plan to my son, Dr Canby took time at the end of his day to call and discuss everything with my son directly. That spoke volumes to me. His experience and medical training at UT Southwestern were also deciding factors for me. He’s an expert!

I had a tricky situation. My ICD was under recall. The leads were separating and becoming attached to the heart wall making removal difficult. The device and leads all needed replacing. My regular doctor referred my to Dr. Canby because of the difficulty of the procedure. My wife said that when Dr. Canby came out to tell her how things went (they went fine) she could see that he had worked very hard! Before the procedure Dr. Canby went over all the possibilities so I understood what was involved. I thank Dr. Canby for his efforts.

Dr. Canby worked me in on 6/8/2020 because he was concerned about my high heart rate. After much discussion and his call to Dr. Chafizadeh it was determined that a procedure was needed and set up for 6/9/2020 to check for clots. This was done and I was shocked back into rhythm and now my heart rate is back to normal 70 beats per minute. I am so very grateful for the fast response by Dr Canby, Anna and Dr Chafizadeh and will always remember that Dr. Canby put in my pacemaker back in 2014.

My former EP in Los Angeles told me thatTCA and Dr. Canby were known around the world and said that they were the very best. He understated. Dr. Canby has cardioverted me twice and dealt with my recurring A-Fib for 3 years. Absolutely first class.

I've been dealing with physicians and others at Texas Cardiac Arrhythmia for nearly 12 years and have been seeing Dr. Canby for the last few years. When discussing medical conditions and/or treatment options, he is very straightforward in his assessment and recommendations. He explains things in a way that is easily understood by the lay person so you always feel very informed. I highly recommend Dr. Canby as well as the other physicians associated with Texas Cardiac Arrhythmia.
