Dr. Robert Chen, MD

Dr. Chen is professional, very friendly, thorough and extremely informative.

I have gone to Dr. Chen for several years and have absolutely no complaints, only praise. He patiently explains everything in an intelligent manner yet easy enough for a non-medical person like me to understand. He is thorough and never rushed. I travel an hour and a half for my appointments from Pawling, NY but know it’s worth the extra time and distance. I would heartily recommend Dr. Chen to anyone.

I had to wait 1 1/2 hours in the waiting room to see Dr Chen on both of my visits. That is terrible. This needs to be improved.

I have been trying to get through to their office for hours and keep getting a voice that tells you to go online no matter what number I press for help. I am having a potential medical emergency and this is really not acceptable.

Have been to this practice for many years but gradually scheduling and face time with the dr has deteriorated. Appointment early in the day still resulted in almost 2 hour wait. Finally appointment with Dr. Chen lasted less than 10 minutes. Although my experience with him is friendly and he seems caring and personable and his evaluation and surgery was positive, a discussions with him seem rushed and feel like it's a push to ask questions or get detail. Feedback to staff and dr about wait seemed to get a polite but superficial response. No confidence that any scheduling modification will happen. Not sure I will return

Excellent dr in the office very nice girl

Sat in waiting room for half an hour even though I had an early appojntment. Dr. Chen ys excellrnt but disappointed with the delay.

Had a appointment on 9-13-22 at 10:10AM. Walked in at 9:50AM checked in at the machine. Sat down never got called so I walked out at 10:45. Meanwhile 10 people walked in after me and every single one of them got called. Me not getting called was done deliberately by the receptionist not named Sylvia. The other woman working behind the glass does not like me because I made a comment last time I was there "that Sylvia is a better worker". That is so unprofessional that she would do that to a patient. That's a place of business. Some people are mean and evil. And the receptionist not named Sylvia is just that. Unfortunately I didn't get to have my follow up appointment with the best eye doctor around in Dr. Chen. Thank you Al Guarino!

Doctor Chen never sent the eyedrop prescription to the Pharmacy. Givng us samples does not solve the problem.

Removed cataracts in both of my eyes. Highly recommend him.

Upon my first visit I realized Dr Chen is an outstanding.doctor. Dr Chen explained his diagnosis and treatment in simple and plain English..I was being treated for a severe eye infection and was unable to see out of one eye. After seeing Dr Chen he immediately changed the treatment and medication that I was currently prescribed. Due to Dr Chen’s treatment plan I’m completely healed up and did not sustain any permanent damage.

I had glaucoma and cataract surgery with great results. I wouldn't entrust my eyecare to anyone else

Dr. Chen and his staff provide a very comprehensive eye examination in a very professional and relaxed atmosphere.
