Knowledgeable, quality care
Dr. Jackson has a great bedside manner and cares deeply about his patients. He asks a lot of questions and spends quality time with his patients- something many doctors today don't do. Most doctors seem to be interested in profit and seeing a high quantity of patients and ignore quality care. I have found his care and knowledge to be exemplary. Unlike a lot of small-town doctors I have encountered, he keeps abreast of new research and treatments. I find Dr. Jackson takes time to listen to his patient's concerns and does not gaslight them. His profession is a dying one. Few doctors specialize in rheumatology these days and as you can imagine he is in great demand at various locations in Missouri and Iowa. He's a busy doctor. Yes, he does tend to run late, but for me, the quality of care outweighs that inconvenience. I just plan on the visit taking more time.

Do not see Dr. Jackson, but someone who is worth your time. Your health is worth it! DO NOT SETTLE FOR HIM. Each time he is 2 or more hours late. Being the first patient of the day at 9:20am for my final visit, it was 11am before I decided to discontinue seeing this terrible doctor. I've never had such a terrible doctor in my life. His staff voiced their anger as well as I left. He takes 2 days to return calls as well. Convenience, yes; but care, professionalism, punctuality... a definite not.

Dr. Jackson is smart, has a great manner, and takes a balanced approach to medicine that includes supplemental therapies with diet/vitamins. He does not, however, take any notes while in with patients so he forgets a LOT between visits (tried to re-prescribe me 3 things I was already prescribed by him at previous visit - didn't even read my chart), and he does a poor job of time mgmt. Your average waiting room time is an hour and your average wait time for him in the room is another hour.

I have Doctored with Dr. Jackson for about 7 years. My daughter has Doctored with Dr. Jackson for about 5 years. We are both extremely satisfied with the care we receive. Dr. Jackson is extremely knowledgeable about conditions, treatments, and medications. I like that Dr. Jackson recommends natural over the counter medications, prescription medications, exercises, and pain management alternatives. I have recommended Dr. Jackson to many family and friends and will continue to do so.
