Dr. Robert Lebovics, MD

Without having a very detailed medical history Dr Lebovics kept inserting inaccurate assumptions and did not respect when these were corrected. He absolutely do not have the skills to understand a patients without that detailed history. This resulted in a horrible patient interaction. Probably good doc if u have details but warning to those with complex family history or adoption, he just not worth interacting with. It was as if to say without this info I can't be treated but this is not true. It just requires more of the physician and to look past how he normally relies on information. You know someone who meet the patient as they are, not making requirements as to the worth of my getting treated.

I had a very bad experience with Dr. Lebowics. Save yourself some time and frustration. Just see another ENT. He cut me off and told me to stop talking when I was explaining to him the background of my situation. He was filling in for my regular doctor, and he had to clean out my sinuses, and used literally 10x the local anesthetic that my regular doc does, yet he still caused me 10x the discomfort and multiple days of subsequent bleeding. He awkwardly mentioned that he was making the hospital more money as he filled out prescriptions for large steroid doses that I'm confident I did not need (I never took those meds, and I was perfectly fine). He also is very difficult to understand because he mumbles at a low volume. His lack of bedside manner will likely make you feel nervous, unheard, and frustrated. Seeing him was a counterproductive use of my time.

Helped me recover from misdiagnosed situation and fixed an extreme case of sinusitis in non-invasive fashion: so good in that case he came close to refusing me as a patient, then yielded to my entreaties. Good man to whom I owe much thanks - every idea was correct, it seems. Almost forgotten b/c of complete recovery and time (too long!) but finally found him: passing his name to a non-NYC friend who is getting sub-par help in a more remote area.

I absolutely loved my time with Dr. Lebovics! He solved my issue and was so relaxed, calming, timely and kind.
