Dr. Robert Lippe, MD

Dr. Lippe is by far the most unprofessional, arrogant, and seemingly unknowledgeable Doctor I have ever met. I have no idea why he is in this profession as he seems to have no desire to help or guide patients. He writes inaccurate Dr. notes and does not listen to the patient's concerns. He was very quick to say he could not help me at all and I had to follow with my GP ordering a warranted MRI. Multiple doctors have said I require an orthopedist and I am set to see another. I am not someone who has ever written an online review until today. Do not go to this Doctor. He should honestly have his license questioned as he is grossly negligent.

I was hesitant to make an appointment due to some negative reviews on line. However, I was in bad pain and needed to make an appointment ASAP. The staff was courteous and efficient. Most of all, Dr. Lippe was personable, gave a thorough exam, reviewed past medical records I brought to the appointment and answered all my questions. He took new xrays in the office. He explained exactly what was causing my pain and formulated a treatment plan to address and relieve symptoms. Highly recommend Dr. Lippe

Worst doctor i ever had. Said he did neurological tests on my medical report (guess he thought I wouldn't ask for it) & he did not . Other tests mentioned on report he never did like range of motion lying on my back on a table & maneuvering my leg. When I asked him why he said he did these tests when he did not he just said 'he did', otherwise he would be admitting to fraud & negligence. Biggest concern was getting ins. card & getting patient in & out for quick turnover without an actual diagnosis so they could get them back in & do it again. Said I needed MRI's without doing the tests to see if they were needed. Face time with this doctor was about 4 minutes flat if that on a first (&last ) visit. STAY AWAY!! How he got even 2 stars is suspect.

I very seldom write review but to be completely honest, I feel like this one is necessary. A few months ago I went to Dr. Lippe with high hopes that he'd be able to give me answers about the pain I was having for sometime in my knee. He dismissed my pain, told me I'd have to deal with it and just go to a gym. I was also told that I could do surgery but it may not actually fix it and more importantly, I don't want to have a scar on my knee from something that *may not help* because I'm young. Just want to state that I'm in my mid 20's. For a doctor to tell me that I'm going to have to just deal with the pain for the rest of my life.. is pretty horrifying in itself. The entire experience to have someone (who is a doctor.. and is supposed to "help" people) totally disreguard what I was saying was completely unprofessional. It was almost like it was an inconvenience for him to have to speak to me or offer me any sort of solution. Please go elsewhere and see someone who will actually listen

My visit to Dr. Lippe's office for my shoulder pain was great. The staff was polite and professional. Dr. Lippe is extremely knowledgeable and caring to his patients. Glad I decided to go there even after reading the crazy reviews about his practice. Pat was very nice and made me comfortable while I waited. Wow, just can't believe everything that is put out on the internet! The doctor has been in practice for decades with good records!

Dr Lippe was amazing in diagnosing my husbands infection and immediately called another doctor and had him admitted into the hospital for treatment within an hour. He had me bring the disc to him right after CT scan to see results which showed infection was very bad. Thank god he took the time to check on results right away. We are so grateful for his kindness and concern.

Dr. Lippe is the worst. He walks in and out like he thinks he’s a rock star and let’s his poor PAs handle everything. Thank God for his PA Jen or my mom wouldn’t be walking today. Dr lippe came in the room and basically gave my mom a death sentence telling her he can’t do a thing for her and walked out without even looking at her. PA Jen saw that my mom’s knees were swollen bad and prescribed a anti inflammatory that got my my mom up and walking again NO THANKS TO LIPPE. We love u Jen and if u start your own practice we are in. As far as Lippe goes he’s a joke. That’s the truth

One of the best Doctors in Long Island.

i am trying to get a simple note, saying I was seen by the Dr, and am Ok to work Saw Dr Lippe on Monday, have called 3 times on 3 different days, and even though the voice mail for that dept. says I will be called back within 24hrs, 3 days later and have not even received a call back. I called today and told the operator my problem, and asked to speak to a live person, and again put through to a voice mail system. Very Very poor customer service and makes me not want to continue with this office

I injured my knee last Friday the 13th of course! I called Dr Lippe on Monday morning and was told to come in at 1030. By noon he got me an MRI appt and a diagnosis appt the next day. Next he got me an appt with the surgeon on Thursday. I’m grateful for him and all the smiling faces of the staff at Massapequa Orlin n Cohen! He made the effort to speed things up so I can get back to work.

Has provided correct diagnosis and care for a number of issues, providing immediate relief, increased mobility and sleep. While Dr. Lippe seems quite busy, he is respectful and to-the-point while his staff is always warm and encouraging and seems to have more time for general conversation. Downsides, the practice could really use automated doors and more direct access from the parking lot to the office for those in wheel chairs ( or pushing them ). Overall, satisfied with care.

When I went to Dr. Lippe for my knee pain he couldn't do X-Rays, MRIs, or make money from surgery since I'm pregnant; he gave me no inkling of what the problem could be. He just said, "don't exercise on it for a week if it doesn't get better I'll prescribe PT". Well it got worse - to the point I was on crutches. I called for a PT prescription twice a day for a week. The desk said they gave Dr. Lippe my messages and put in a request but he hasn't filled it yet, even know I'm on crutches &preg

I have referred Dr Lippe - he listened to my questions and then examined me and then explained his suggestions. He spent at least 30 to 40 minutes with me. He referred me to another Dr and I was happy with him also.

Treated me for a thorassic muscle sprain for about 7 months. Told him pain gets worse every day and is in my neck also. Always get the same response. "Oh well do some PT come back in 4 weeks". Spends about a minute and a half with you before he rushes you out. Went to see a chiropractor and within 5 minutes told me the problem is your neck not your back. Told me to tell the Ortho I need a new MRI. Look at that a herniated cervical disc. Stay away from the Orlin and Cohen group all together
